London Interviews 2006 (NEW)

I forgot to mention we got our packet 4 on Jan. 24- we have triple checked all of our papers and have two copies along with the originals of everything. Very exciting- more anxious to arrive next Friday and see my husband than I am for the interview the following Monday. Does anyone think we should drag photos as proof of our relationship to the interview- I'm inclined to think it won't be necessary.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick message to say "good luck" to everyone who are having an interview next week. I too have my K1 scheduled on Thursday in London, and I'm sure that I am not alone to say that I'm pretty nervous about it :wacko:

I have a few more reasons to be than others though, as I have two previous convictions and whilst I am sure they don't constitute CIMT and where more than 10 years ago, the interview could go either way!! which is a very nerve-racking thing to deal with (I have a waiver prepared)

That leads me on nicely to say that I just want to thank everyone on this forum for all the help and advice over the last few months, including pax, nigel, munchkins and Liam. Forums such as these are sooo useful and everyone is so incredibly helpful and considerate, I wouldn't have gotten this far without VJ!!

anyway guys, I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of you (I'm heading down to the capital tomorrow to spend a few nights with friends), please keep your fingers crossed for me too!!! as I really need "lady luck" to be shining on me

James has just received Packet 3, so you can go ahead and add our name to the waiting for the interview list and I'll update you when he sends P3 back into London. I hope we get an interview late March, early April, what does everyone else think of this possibility?

Possibly good. I think Shakysgirl sent theirs in the week prior to me, mine was 1/10, and they have their interview date.

Miranda,

The best way to get a speedy interview is to send your Packet 3 and checklist back ASAP AND schedule the medical. We received our date about a week after my fiance had his medical, which was about three weeks after we sent in our Packet 3. I know the medical isn't supposed to determine when you get your interview, but I am suspicious that it is. Good luck :luv:

When I emailed the embassy asking about an interview date, I did mention that my husband had had his medical, that he had all of the necessary paperwork ready with copies, and was able to travel to London on short notice. We received a date a few days later. :star:
