Cairo Embassy Update

For those still following our situation, got an email tonight from the Embassy.......

Dear Madam,

The case is currently pending final review. Once the process is completed, we will process the case to conclusion.

Everybody.........does this sound familiar? It's been the same email for like 4 weeks I think.

Soon heading for week number 9.............you guys make sure to not let me email them next week so I get

disappointed again.........help me be strong and at least wait 2 weeks...........

Hang in there............................ I know, I told my SO lets not call DOS or even get on here sometimes , it just torments us. But , everyday is a different day and you never know what good news it will bring. Things change in a minute and there are plenty of stories on here to prove it. So good luck if you don't want to email embassy, stay strong. You two are in our prayers and hope you get your visa so soon. Try to have a good day.

At least they say you are pending final review. I wouldn't let that stop me from emailing to ask about the case. You never know when there is gonna be an update. I wish you a speedy process.

I think what helped me was to just e mail the Embassy once a month (sometimes twice) and do the same with calling DOS. The AP process will mess with your head , that's for sure. But the good news is, your visa is just around the corner and every day is just one day closer. Look back and reflect on the miracles you have seen already concerning your case. That should keep you hopeful even for a little while, anyway.

I received the almost exactly the same e-mail from Cairo:

We confirm receipt of the new medical and police report; the case is currently pending the officer’s final review. Once the process is completed, we will process the case to conclusion.
