Hello, Aymerlu!

How are you feeling Nagi?

Im ok. The better question would be...How are you? :star:

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

my oldest told me that her friends are no longer able to come over the house once my husband comes here.

That really sucks. People are so closed minded. And to hurt the kids, its uncalled for. My prayers goes out to you and your family.

Well if any of those parents EVER want anything from me again they're all SOL. Suprisingly my daughter isn't really sad about it. She mentioned nonchallantly that the parents had a MEETING and ALL agreed that they should not allow their daughters over our home until they ALL feel more comfortable with him. I guess they'll have another meeting to discuss that. IF they change their mind I will call them and ask them to please send over $20 per child per month to fund all of the flippin' food that I feed them. I don't just feed them either I purposely go out of my way to buy each of them their favorite snacks, sodas, etc. and I have bought requested WII games for them as well.

I'm fuming. You know my town has a special group formed to combat bigotry after some nazi symbols were spraypainted at our middle school but God forbid they are openminded about someone from MENA other than Israel. I'm beyong fuming but not showing it since my daughter seems not bothered by it.

Thank you so much ladies for your love and support. Im glad to see all of you here and to see and learn of all the progress many petitioners have made since I have been gone. Well what can I say its been a roller coaster for me. Still we have no major news on an approval. I made an infopass to get a follow up our our cause after I received and email Jan 22 indicating that our I-130 was sent to the local Houston Field Office. Once there the immigration officer told me that our I-129F arrived at the NBC on March 08. That bit of news confused me becaues all this time I assumed that the I-129F had been there. I was under the impression that it was at MSC since we filed it and sent to the chicago lock box in 2006. Isnt MSC and NBC one in the same? Last year when they started to transffer applications out to the CSC to get them paired up with their perspective I-130's, mine never went out, or at least I never got a notice of it or a touch indicating any progress on it. So as you can understand I was confused when the immigration officer told me that my application had been sent to NBC March 19. Then in regards to the Houston application the officer told me that she was going to put in a serivice request for her supervisor to look at our case to see what needed to be done, and to possibly request our I129F from chicago if they needed to be paired up or in cause they may want to interview me. And that was that. I know it was not much but I walked out very greatful and happy because I felt that finally some one was going to be looking at our case. Im now planning a trip to Dallas to meet with my state representative immigration laison in person. I figured if i show my face they might be more willing to help out than if I just send them an email or fax. =0)

AGH!!!

Something similar happened to us when we started the inital 601 application. His file actually sat at the local CIS office for 9 months before they ever sent it on the NVC. Twice I made an InfoPass appointment and TWICE each officer told me that the file had been sent but would not provide me with a receipt number or verification....THE WHOLE TIME, HIS APPLICATION WAS STILL SITTING IN THEIR OFFICE. They even filed the letter of request our attorney made about the status of his application in his file...but never sent it!

This was the only time that our Congress Rep was of help. That's how we found out that they had just filed the application and correspondence in his file, but never sent it.

I really, really hope that someone gets to the bottom of this for you ASAP!!!! You've been through so much and I know that many of us on here want to see a happy ending for you and soon!

Please keep your chin up and KNOW that dreams do come true eventually. Hang in there and let us know if you need us!

Eh you don't want them lounging about your house anyways. Good riddance I say! :D

But seriously, are those the kind of kids you really want your girls hanging with?

The thing is the kids are great! I love each of them and they've even chatted with Usama a few times via the webcam and got along fine! It's the parents I could do without.
