I'm really upset

That sentiment comes and goes on VJ...this is not the first time I've heard this...I even felt it myself from time to time. But ever since I've been on VJ I've seen people complain that VJ just isn't what it use to be. So that's over two years of "VJ isn't what it use to be." Message boards are organic...and they go through waves of tension. It's not unique. All messages boards are like this. You CAN decide to go....that's your choice. You can also decide to take time away from VJ, which is what I've done in the past. People come and go and when a wave of people go, another wave come in and change the atmosphere. OR you can just be a lurker like some ex-members. *shrug*

I totally agree....when I first started visiting this board a year ago it was going thro the same thing back then...

Also I don't know if what lostinlove posted had anything to do with 2 comments made in that thread the other day, about the middle east forum, and the women getting "boy toys" from the middle east. Of course the people who said those things are not worth paying attention to. So I guess I also don't understand how so many in off topic were labeled racist. ??? (eeks I can't spell today!)

Well I just looked back through it all, and YES it was in response to a post made by someone upset about JimiInLove's comments about boy toys. Ironicially pretty much everyone on that thead felt he was full of it and told him as much. Yet that fact was apparently overlooked and instead the comments of one ignorant person were accredited to the entire OT forum.

This is observation again based on the circumstances that lead to the comment by lostinlove228 after reading the thread prior to it.

lostinlove228, based on that I have to say this was a major over generalization, it wasn't an attitude presented by multiple people it was just one person who insulted not just one group or race of people but nearly every person on the site. It's fine to hold that person responsible for their comments, but grouping the majority together as you did is in effect doing exactly what you were falsly accusing others of doing.

Sorry this came a bit late in the thread but I was trying to address facts rather than emotion and upsetting people more than need be.

Wasn't it vanillabean who said that? She's been banned, in no small part due to reports from people in OT.
