I'm not sure what you are saying. Did the Consulate (which Consulate, by the way?) gave you back some of your documents and your visa delivery fee (what visa are you applying for?)? The 221g document is a denial of visa usually because of missing evidence to get the visa or in the case of a toursit visa, the consulate doesn't believe you would return to your home country (which country do you live in?).

It sounds like you have been denied a visa. Most Consulates will give you a pink slip. The slip tells you when you can return to pick up your visa.

It would help others to answer your questions if you had filled out your profile and timeline (if applicable) as well as given us more info about your problem and yourself.

I am sorry PeterFB if you don't get what i post!..It's like this i am a fiance visa, during my interview at the USE they asked me to pay 250p for visa delivery and also they give me a sheet of paper which is 221g form , they never ask any follow up documents from me to submit they only wrote in there is for documents verification and i pay 650p.. Im worried because on the USE manila site if you asked to pay the documents verification before you leave the embassy, means there's a delays on visa processing and it may take 1-2 weeks but now it's already 3 weeks and haven't have visa yet, why?

I am from philippines and applying for fiance visa and still waiting for it..

my follow up questions is? > is the documents verification can cause of refusal?

thanks

hi, there were lots of fiancees who got delayed of the issuance of their visa because of document verification...

You should follow up it in Delbros, call them and ask your visa status.

You will not be denied because of doc verification,,, well unless you submit a fake doc,, but I know you submitted real NSO, Cenomar,,, so dont worry,, all you need to do now, is to follow up.

I'm not familiar with the Philliippines so what Primie and Ryan said probably correct. There may be some problem with them verifying your documents or they are just slow. I would make a follow up call.

Please fill out your profile and timeline as it would help every here help you better.

Your docuements could cause you to not get approved, but you won't know untill the Embassy tells you or you call to ask. I wouldn't get too worried at this time because there's little right now you can do.

If there are any unusual circumstances about your case, that could slow the document verification. You didn't fill out anything about yourself in your profile so I don't know what could be causing the delay. In Vietnam, processing times vary a lot, sometimes people get any requested additional documents processed quickly, other times it can take days, weeks or months. The Consulate there doesn't explain their processing times, except to say when things take a longer time for everyone, that it's do to a heavy work load.

The payment of fees doesn't guarrantee you will get approved at the Ho Chi Minh Consulate. I think it's the same for all Embassies and Consulates.

Hopefully you'll know the answer soon. Then you can proceed to the next step.

Good Luck

Document Verification Fee

* Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified.

* In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the visa issuance process, the U.S. Embassy in Manila strongly encourages applicants in the categories mentioned above to pay the document verification fee prior to their immigrant visa interview. Payment can be made through any Metrobank location. The cost of the document verification is PhP 650 per applicant. For specific instructions on how to pay the document verification fee, please click here. If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application.

>>>> That's what says' on the USE site is that can cause of refusal? do they really need to give 221g coz of that documents verification?

True,

You should be posting this in the Philipppines sub forum. Document Verification is a specifici process that is unique to the Philippine Embassy in Manila. As Primie & Ryan have advised you, it is a process that is causing the delay of MANY K1 visas in Manila right now. You will see countless number of posts in the Philippines sub forum about document verification. I would suggest that you read them all. Document Verification can cause a delay - from 1 to 6 weeks, but except in the rare case of fraudulent documents, it , by itself, does not cause denials.

Please post in the PHILIPPINES Sub FORUM. People in other forums will most likely be unfamiliar with the specifics of Document Verification via NSO in the Phiippines.

I hope your delays will end soon and all will be successful.

Warm Regards,

Samby
