Hi folks. My name's Jeremy and I'm 27. I met Keri a year ago via a chatroom and bonded instantly. It grew quickly into the most beautiful and dynamic relationship I've ever had the priviledge of experiencing. We met in person for the first time in Feb. '08. I spent the most amazing 10 days of my life with her in Canada. I'll be returning there in May for the Memorial weekend, then she'll be coming here for the summer. We plan to marry and start a life together here in the states soon(ish.....like.....as soon as reasonably possible) afterward. Given what we know right now about immigration, our plan is to obtain a K1 and go from there. Neither of us really know much about all this, but I'm hoping that the great info and people here can steer us in the right direction. We're not formally engaged yet, though we've discussed it and know exactly what we wanna do. We're just trying to keep everything squeaky clean and go by the books. Would the K1 be the best option for us, and if not, what would be? I look forward to chatting with all of you and maybe even makin some friends out of the deal. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to VJ!!!

The fastest route would probably be the K1 as the only requirement is having met once within the last 2 years. Take a look at the guides.

Good luck on your journey :)

Welcome to VJ, Jeremy!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I'm in the Dexter area, which is about 2.5 hours south of StL. Not from here though. I'm originally from Texas...grew up in Waco and moved here in 02. I'm not too fond of this area, but I can't go back to TX because my daughter is here, so I try to make the best of it.
