At the end of the day Walmart is not hurting. The poor living in NYC are being hurt the most.

The fact is that walmart could afford the rent but left because of mounting pressure from unions and co.

I could afford Bear Stearns stock - it doesn't make it a good idea to log into E-trade and buy some now, does it?

Perhaps it does - BSC is still undervalued.

Perhaps. But then - perhaps not. The point is - just because I can afford something doesn't always make it a good idea.

What a novel concept. They should teach that to all economic majors.

Buy high, sell low.

No wait... that's not it is it.

Hmmmm

Maybe we can just use solar panels.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I made a killing on solar stocks last year - I more than tripled my investment, which fortunately I sold before the market went south. I love solar.

And yet...you don't have an economics degree. You must read a lot.

Why would using solar panels help decide when to buy and sell stocks?

But if you're looking for a cheap, plentiful source of power you perhaps might have missed the one you're sitting on.

What are we comparing?

Yes. I have heard you bring up the BA/MA 100 times now. So why don't we compare that with your background.

But you made up your background in economics. Does this mean I should volunteer my real educational background or make up a fake one to make myself look better and sound more important?

Nice answer. The reality is that I don't really care about one's education but I do care when you use it, as a cheap shot, against me.

That's interesting. I don't care about it either - which is why I don't self-advertise.
