Hey :blush:this thread is for people like me who are getting depressed waiting for their approval. I got my NOA1 on Jan. 9th 08, Portia gave birth to our daughter Miyah on Fe. 15th 08 and we are just waiting. Also I made a timeline but it doesn't show up so I don't know what to do. But yeah I feel this would be a good thread for all of us to vent. Granted I know there are people out there who have been waiting a lot longer, but it's depressing. So please feel free to share your story. This is not a thread to whine, but more so to get some support. Thanks everyone!!!

This whole process can be depressing indeed!!! We can all feel your frustrations!!!

Looking back over the last 5 years, I can actually laugh about it now, but it was very frustrating when my husband and I were waiting for our K-1 approval.

Good luck for a speedy approval, and hang in there... your day is coming too!!!

Best wishes.

P.S. Congrats on the birth of your daughter... hopefully, you will all be together soon!!!

Well...I lost my Argentinian iD and it takes from 8 months to a year to get it...and then i will be able to get my police certificate...imagine that!! that means that no matter how fast they approve me im stuck....luckily we sent our petition for k1 only a month ago...so i started getting necessary papers early....i dont know what it would have happen if i had discovered the id thing after getting package 3!!! that would me much worse! yes...it is depressing but there is always something to do about it....keep faith.

Your timeline DOES show up - if you click 'my timeline' underneath your avatar and country flag. :) If you mean 'how to make my timeline show up in my signature', the answer is you have to manually enter it in under the 'Signature' option under 'My Controls'.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but no one else who filed in very late December/January at California Service Centre has received their NoA2 yet (unless they are from Cuba, which is a special case). If you look at your timeline you have an estimated NoA2 date of June. Hopefully you will receive your NoA2 beforehand; May is more likely. Maybe your lawyer's other clients filed at Vermont Service Centre, which is moving faster.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! Feel welcome to post in the December or January CSC filers thread in the subforum attached to this one. :)

My VJ estimate for approval was May 7th and my approval was March 31 so it should be a little quicker. I think the July crush threw it off a bit.

DAY TURNS TO NIGHT, NIGHT TURNS TO DAY

YOU SIT AND WAIT FOR YOUR LOVE FAR AWAY

DAYS TURN TO WEEKS AS THE CALENDAR PAGES TURN

YET YOU STILL WAIT FOR THE LOVE THAT YOU YEARN

YOU SEE PEOPLE HOLD HANDS AND IN PAINS YOUR HEART

IF YOU COULD ONLY HOLD YOUR LOVERS HAND, BUT YOUR OCEANS APART

DREAMS OF THE DAY WHEN YOUR LOVE IS THERE WITH YOU

BUT YOU AWAKE ALONE TO ANOTHER DAY TO GO THROUGH

Your daughter is beautiful! Congratulations.

I'm sorry to hear that you are finding it so difficult at the moment. This is such a horrible process for everyone. I'm slightly concerned that your lawyer has advised you its coming soon, I don't know too much about CSC but I thought they were running further behind than that. We will be hoping that it comes through for you in no time though. Good Luck.

I really like your work. I've been getting so stressed with school lately - 6 weeks to go until I get my degree - hopefully. Whenever I'm stressed I have the most vivid dreams and they have all involved being with Alan lately. It takes me a good 10 minutes to get out of bed when I wake up, I'm so devastated to be back in reality. I'm finding that its definitely not good to start the day so sad.

Sorry that you are hurting so much, I'm wishing us all speedy approvals. I know a lot of people argue with this notion but I definitely feel like Alan and I love each other more than we ever thought we could having been through this process. I know things about him that people who have been together 20 years don't know about each other because we HAVE to talk. YES I'm tired of it now and YES I want it all to be over but this long distance relationship malarkey has been somewhat of a blessing in disguise i think. Hang in there, take comfort in the fact that you have found each other and that you will have a lifetime together.

Good luck and best wishes to everyone xxx
