Well...........called DOS today and they said everything is completed there in Washington with security checks and it's at the Embassy.

She told me to contact them..........so I think the Embassy will just say awaiting for officer's final review, but

I will send them an email anyway just in case.

I love that little guy whistling because it represents how I feel.

Maybe Bon Jovi will let me forget about things for a little bit....... :crying:

If you love me, then I have everything I need

'livin on a prayer'? ;)

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

That made me laugh sooooooooooo much!!!

"Whooah, we're half way there, whoooah,

Livin on a prayer

Take my hand and well make it - I swear, whooah,

Livin on a prayer"

Think I will play that song on my way down to San Jose!!

The other song......."I'll be there for you" is another great song:

"I'll be there for you

These five words I swear to you

When you breathe I want to be the air for you

I'll be there for you

I'd live and I'd die for you

Steal the sun from the sky for you

Words can't say what a love can do

I'll be there for you"

Yee-hawwww!

Daughtery (spelled?) is opening!!

If you love me, then I have everything I need

Well that is good News Lynn. If you do not get a good answer from the Embassy call DOS back and ask specific questions.

When they tell you security checks are completed and it is back at Embassy ask them if it means they approved it for the visa (they are ones who give ok for visa issuance) If they said yes it is approved for visa issuance then email embassy back again and tell them that you contacted DOS and they said it was approved for visa issuance and you would like to know when you can expect the visa. I had to email the same question to the Embassy 4 times before they decided to respond but keep sending them emails with specific questions and most the time they will answer you. I pray you will get good news too. I am still praying that my Ahmed's really deos come in 10 days. I can live with 10 more days....Alot better than I can live with another 2 months. Good Luck Girl!!!! ......... I have my fingers crossed and saying prayers every night.

Also the Embassy is sometimes a little stingy with the information they give you and DOS depends on who you talk to and what questions you ask them.

On March 24 DOS told me the same that it was under final review that it appeared everything was completed but for us to contact the embassy to see if any problems exsisted because they can only see the case notes.

So I emailed Embassy and got this reply:

RE: Case Status‏

From: Consular, Cairo IV (ConsularCairoIV@state.gov)

Sent: Tue 3/25/08 5:52 AM

To: Cheryl (myemailaddress@hotmail.com)

Dear Sir, (LOL....half the time they call me Sir)

The administrative processing has just been completed; the case is currently being reviewed for issuance.

Regards,

Consular Staff

NM

Then me being persisitent Called DOS again Mar 28 and got same reply. On Mar 31 I called DOS and was told the security checks had completed and the visa approved. I asked so exactly what does that mean? She said it was approved on March 29th for visa issuance. I said does that mean the officer's final review is completed. She said yes. So we kept thinking will be anyday......So I emailed the Embassy 3 times on the 31st and once yesterday asking when we can expect the visa to be issued. Today they finally answered with the following reply:

Dear Madam,

The case is currently being printed. Your fiancé will receive your visa with in 10 days.

Regards,

Consular Staff

NM

So just be persistent......you will get your answers.

Good Luck!!!
