My husband is currently residing in US with two year green card (CR-1), expiring end of January 2007. If he wants to travel abroad in January, can he do so?

We would also like to know what forms need to be completed to renew green card. How early do these forms need to be completed?

We greatly appreciate your advice on this matter.

Thanks.

Yes he can travel and no he does not need advance parole in order to do so. Have a read here http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/PermRes.htm

He needs to apply to remove conditions 90 days before the two year anniversary of gaining the green card. Read the pinned threads in Removing Conditions Forum.

Edited to add.....I forgot about him wanting to travel in January when he would of already just applied to have conditions removed. As it is in the transition stage I am not sure how it would effect him travelling. Perhaps someone will.
