Hi all....

I know I read about this, somewhere, sometime ago about the beneficiary receiving the interview date too early.. but I could not find the post :(

Anyways, my situation is, I have just received my appointment letter today for a Apr 22 interview. Yikes. I have most of my documents ready except for my fiance's I-134 and his supporting documents and my Colombian police certificate. My fiance's stuff will get here by mid of April so I am not that worried about that but what worries me is.... my Colombian police certificate. I am pretty sure that it won't arrive in time for the interview... So, should I try to reschedule now or I should wait until like a week prior to the interview to reschedule for a new date? :help:

Any replies will be appreciated :)

We had to reschedule our interview, we did it about 2 weeks before the date. My fiance sent an email to the Embassy explaining why we needed it to be postponed, and they replied saying it was ok, and that they would let me know the new date.

It took about 2 months to have a new interview date set, but we're ready to go now. If your I-129F validity (4 months) will be already expired for the next interview make sure you mention that too on the email, just so they confirm to you that the CO will extend the validity, that's what they did to ours.

APPLIED FOR NATURALIZATION 07/2021

08.01.2011 - I-751 SENT

08.05.2011 - Check cashed

08.08.2011- NOA Received

08.19.2011 - Biometrics Letter Received

09.12.2011 - Biometrics Appointment

01.27.2012 - Card production ordered

02.01.2012 - 10 year GC Received

07.25.2021 - N400 filed online

08.09.2021- Biometrics re-use notice

04.18.2022- Interview done at Minneapolis USCIS Local Office   ✔️ Received N-652 "Congratulations your application has been recommended for approval" during the interview.

05.19.2022- Oath Ceremony in MN

The embassy's are generally accommodating. Just email them and I'm sure they'll make a change.
