It was about 3 years after we started dating before I got the chance to go to England, so James had come over in April (for my prom and HS graduation :)) and stayed here in the USA with me and my parents for a few weeks and then we were going to fly back to England together to meet his parents, etc, and the trip was also a graduation present. I was so nervous about meeting his family the week before we left that I got an eye twitch! When I finally got there and met them it was just fine but the anticipation was horrible. His dad picked us up from the airport (and gave me a kiss on the cheek - I didn't think either way of it but James thought it was weird!) and one of the very first things he told me was that fanny meant something else in England! I'll never forget that :)

I was lucky I was able to meet Charles father before he passed away. Didn't have that luck with his mom. I wish I had met her.

It was a normal experience, dunno, i didn't get nervous or anything.
