share your experience with meeting with your in-laws

Hello Everyone!! Since i didnt meet my future in-laws in person,

for those of you who already met them, how was the feeling for the time seeing /talking to them?

Was it like nerve -wracking,nail -tingling,spine chilling situation??ok ok!im being exaggerated!

I just wanna know how was it?and for those who havent met their soon to be inlaws...are you nervous?????

On our way to meet my husband's parents and sisters I was so nervous. I imagined that they expect too much from me. There were lots of bad thoughts on my mind like what if they don't like me, what will I say, what will I do when I am infront of them. Finally we were on the doorstep of his parents house, my in-laws greeted me nicely with a warm smile and a big hugs. They thought I was small and since they didn't travel anywhere in Asia, they thought I can't speak English( )! They were amazed that I was no different from any other american people and i can relate to them and able to talk to them properly. But my looks and diction is very much foreign for them. Above all, it was great meeting in-laws!
