hello all friends

i went us consulate new delhi on 1 april

they said they not recived my papers yet

1. they said i have to fill ds 230 part 1 only (i just wan ask then why both 230 part 1 and 2 toghter. is it ok to fill

ds 230 part1 alone.

2. i used my school certificate as my date of birth

and in my school certificate my name is R.RAJESH KUMAR (because i complited 10th class from tamilnadu they use first alphabet of yours father name in starting of u r name

but my passport and all docment is made on RAJESH SINGH i changed my name when i made my passoprt

my question is when i will fill DS230 part 1 the secend question is

Other Names Used or Aliases (if married woman,give maiden name)

can i write my old name R. RAJESH KUMAR

i have another question about birth certificate

my birth placee is west bangal (my father was is indian air force) and he not rejester my DOB

i was using my 10th marksheet as my DOB

right now we are in delhi

wt i have to do for my DOB

pls suggest

because if i will get affdavit noterised letter from delhi

do u think it will valid because my place of birth is west bangal

or i can get no birth recort noterised letter from west bangal

pls suggest

When my mother had came to US, she did not have a birth certificate. So she just got a simple affidavit made by her mother in a state different than her birth place, and everything was fine. The hearsay was that they do not really care about birth certificate unless it is the case of children under but close to the age of 21 accompanying the parents. In that case, over 21 may disqualify them so they look at it more closely. Otherwise, they do not really look at it.

I think if you get an affidavit from any state, you will be fine. I hope you get advice from others too who have been through such scenario.

Take everything u have passport is the main thing they need I think
