I'm sooo stupid....

I mailed packet 3 yesterday with Xpresspost and the lady at the post office suggested that I take the "signature required" feature since it was an important document....

I just realized 5 minutes ago that the address of the Montreal embassy to return packet 3 to is a P.O. box....

What do you guys think the mail man will do with the packet? Still put it in the PO box or return it to me?

I just sent mine regular mail....I'm so tired of forking out more money.

I'm sure it will work out...maybe the mail man will sign for it when he delivers it to the P.O. box! LOL

The worst thing that can happen is that it will be sent back to you and you'll have to resend.

They might leave a notice for pick up in the PO Box and then hopefully someone would pick it up and sign for it then.

They will probably leave a message at the POBox that there is a package that needs to be signed for. When whoever picks up the mail from the POBox gets the notice, they will go to the counter to claim your package and sign for it. It should only be a days difference in when it gets to them. You should be fine.

My fiance just said he's done this before and if they can get a signature they will. Depends on how their set up is...if the po box is in the mailroom then that person sorting will sign for it. If not, it will get marked signature unavailable. You should be able to check online with the tracking number.

My guess is this won't be a problem. Ours was sent via overnight Fedex and I don't know if we specifically required a signature (I don't think we did) for it but the tracking says it was signed for.
