BEAUTY: Distorted Perception

I don't believe in countries or cities with most beautiful women... I don't believe that there is any particular race that stands out among others in terms of beuaty for beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. And there will always be extremely beautiful and awfully ugly people in any given country or any given race depending on who is giving judgement.

I may be a little old fashioned but I still believe that what we are inside is still the most important determinat of beauty compared to our physical attributes. Physical beauty can be bought: bigger boobs, more shapely legs, flawless legs, killer abs, silky hair, etc.... all those can be had for thousand of dollars and yet it will still fade in time. Whereas our inner and finer qualities will remain priceless and endures through the test of time. The lively sparks on the eyes of a person with a beautiful heart will never fade even when the skin will become totally wrinkled.

Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors. It is just so sad that our perception of beauty has been distorted by media.

People have different beauty ideals. I'm talking about outside beauty. I totally agree with you that what's inside is more important, but that doesn't stop people from admiring other people's beauty. I think Clive Owen is gorgeous, but I wouldn't trade my Charles for him, ever.

Yes, it's sad that these are the images that are being instilled into the minds of children as being perceived what beauty is supposed to be!
