Do you think I will have enough time to book my medical AFTER I receive my package 4???

I emailed Seiden and the lady said they are booking about a week in advance.

I sent off my package 3 today and I'm going to wait until I have my package 4 telling me my interview date to book my medical.

Do people usually do this? Wait till they have their interview letter to book it or do they book it right when they get package 3???

Thanks :)

Would you have to travel to get to an authorized medical clinic? If it's not too much of a hardship, the medical is good for (IIRC) 6 months, so you could really do it any time.

(Apologies for busting in on the Canada forum. We Pitcairners are still trying to get our own forum. Solidarity Pitcairners, SOLIDARITY!)

Well remember Kirk...I don't want my medical until after my 27th birthday which is May 19th.

It's only an hour from my house but I want it as soon to the interview as possible :P

You can bust in here any time!!!!

Can you book just 2 months in advance? or is it only 1 week? That's assuming the interview will be after May 19th.

I don't think it would be a big deal to wait at all.

Well I could book now if I wanted to but...I don't know when my interview date will be....

So I'm just going to wait until package 4 then I'll know my interview date and then I can book my medical...

I don't know how far in advance I'll know though...

Like when you get your package 4 interview letter..is your interview like a week later or a month??? LOL

Am I making sense?

Yes- totally fine. None of mine were the same. I do believe they want pictures that are not over 1 month old.

Also- the medical results are good for 1 year.

Yes, you'll have time to book your medical after you receive your interview date. They're not going to send you a letter saying "your interview's tomorrow", so you'll be good to go.

I, too, was going to suggest calling now and booking your medical appointment for May 20. No reason you can't do that. I don't know if Montreal's checklist has a section where you can put a requested interview date, as Vancouver's does (and I also don't know how good they are about honoring a request), but if it does you can try saying "anything after May 27" just to make sure you have time to get your medical results before going to your interview. As slow as Montreal is, I doubt that is going to be an issue, but you may as well try to guaranty it if you can.

Don't we need to have the interview letter at the time of the medical? By interview letter I mean the packet 4 which is the interview date. We just send packet 3 back today so I'm wondering when would be a safe time for my fiance to book his medical.

Anybody know about how long it takes to get packet 4 from Montreal? I need to find Liz's list again!!

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

Nope, not at all. As you know we don't have ours (!) and Scott had his medical last week. Not a problem.

And Laura, I agree with others to book your medical now for May 20. Generally Montreal gives you some time but I have seen some cases where there's very little notice of the interview.
