Well...here it is....my wife and I had our packet awaiting approval from NVC. To make a long story short, I just called today and the automated system said that the packet was either missing information or was incomplete. That they sent it back today the 1st (could it perhaps be an april 1st joke?) probably not. I am so frustrated with the drawn out process.

My question is do they send back the package snail mail or DHL? Obviusly I will call to get an operator and find out specifically what was missing, but I could use any info or advice or even consolment for that matter.

Thanks in advance........

Have you received the DS-230 yet, is that what you mean by packet? If yes, then they might be talking about an RFE on the DS-230. If not, then they are waiting for the DS-230. Either way, you HAVE to talk to a customer service rep since the automated system is not updated sometimes. The best time to get through is by calling very early in the morning or late at night, around 11:30pm EST.

Yes, the DS230 was sent in. Your probably right on the RFE. I will call later tonight since the lines are pretty clogged right now.

If I know what the problem is after speaking to an operator, can I send in the forms ahead of time, before I receive the packet back from NVC. Just want to push things along......

Thanks

I have this message too. Some people will have it for weeks until they send their DS-230.

The message is normal and usually happens when they're waiting for "someting".

For example, your I-864/AOS might be complete and NVC is just now waiting for your DS-230.

Even if they havent generated your DS-230 yet and you cant send it, you'll get this message. Its normal but speak to an operator to make sure everything is ok.

Thanks for the info, will do, but can I send in whatevers missing or not filled in once I speak to an operator before I receive their packet?

IF something is missing after learning of this from an operator, you'll have to wait for the letter from NVC because it has a barcode sheet you need to return with it.

I too call the NVC auto system and was told that i had info missing on our I-864 (i literally cried when i heard this) :crying: I've been waiting so long for this case to be completed.

The system also told me sometime ago that the information packet for my DS-230 was generated on March 19th but to date we have not received that packet. I have already sent all my supporting documents to my husband so all we are waiting for is this instruction packet.

Not sure how much longer i will have to wait..Guys i need some prayers at this time to keep strong.

How long do you figure this instruction will take to arrive....and also after you get a RFE how long before you know if everything else is ok???

Thank you much

I agree with the previous posts. You'll need to wait to receive your RFE letter from the NVC before you send in the documents. I hope your conversation with the operator was good in that they at least told you what you need so you can prepare the documents before the RFE letter even gets to your home!
