Valid ID for SS-5

In addition to the Passport and K1, the SSN guide says to bring a valid ID as defined in the SS-5 instructions but all I can find is the passport and the K1. Other accepted documents are issued by the US administration.

What did you produce?

I've got a French ID and Driving License and Birth Certificates but it doesn't seem to fit

We brought just foreign passport as ID with K-1, and I-94 card, foreign birth cert that was all that was needed to apply for SSN.

We also applied after marriage so we brought marriage cert to get SSN in married name, though this in many cases cause SSA officer problems.

We also applied after marriage so we brought marriage cert to get SSN in married name, though this in many cases cause SSA officer problems. (I agree with YuAndDan) Applying on SSN (for first time) on married name sometimes cause problem or delay in application.

And no need to photocopy... They want to see the original...and don't worry they will return it to you!
