1. Do the benefiacy's kids need to be present for the physical examination

2. Are the benefiacy's kids "baptismal" certificates really necessary? If there are valid birth certificates in place.

Q1. The kids have to go through the same process as the beneficiary (medical, vaccines, documents, interview). If they are coming together with the beneficiary right away, they should do everything (medical, interview, etc) at the same time as the mom. If the beneficiary will return to pick them up at a later date (within 1 year), they don't have to do the medical stuff until a couple weeks before their visa interview. Don't forget that the biological father will have to consent to the kids leaving Colombia. In Costa Rica, he needs to be present to apply for the passport and he has to sign a form called "Permiso de Salida" (exit permission). You'd have to ask the Colo embassy about the regulations there.

Q2. No idea, sorry.
