I-134 Change of Address

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question. My fiance's lease runs out on his flat on the 14th of April. He's recently sent in packet three and we're waiting on the interview date. To avoid having to sign another lease he is planning on leaving his flat when the lease ends (less than two weeks) and bunking with a friend in London. Of course, we're going to inform the embassy of the move so we don't miss any communications from them. I'm wondering, all of the paperwork we've filled out before lists his flat address. Now that I need to send in the I-134 do I put that address or his friend's flat where he'll be staying for just a short time? I'm not sure how to go about this as I don't want to put my fiance's flat address then have him move to his friend's flat. If he goes to the interview and they see I've put his old addy will that be a problem. Can anyone help?? I hope I'm making myself clear.

Thanks in advance. Megan

I-134 is a support doc to show that US citizen will be supporting the foreign citizen after they arrive on the NON-Immigrant visa. The foreign citizen's address is not a consideration for this form.

You only need to inform the embassy or consulate of address change so that they can send packets too.

I just wanted to make sure as on the form it includes a section outlining information on the beneficiary and address is requested. You're saying it won't matter if I put the address of the flat he's leaving?

Correct, consider this he will be leaving what ever residence to MOVE to the USA on the K-Visa anyway.

My fiancee lived and worked in one place, but that changed shortly before the visa interview, not a problem.

I-134 is a general use form it is used with other NON-Immigrant visas, like student, business, tourist, etc, and in those cases they may want foreign address so indicate that they will have a place to return to after they VISIT the USA, K-Visas are immigrant-intent visas, so they know that the foreign address will be given up, in order to move to the USA.
