For those who have been through with the Interview

I made mine as thin as possible:

If you notice in the packet 4, several documents ( BC, CENOMAR, NBI . I-134, Tax Returns . etc ) are enumerated therein as a requirement to bring to the interview so I placed them together in a short folder and labeled it Primary docuements including the DS forms and Appointment Letter.

I chose 20 pictures showing each day that Joe was with me in the Philippines, pasted 2 pictures on each short bondpaper, labeled them according to date and the location of the picture and stapled them so I had a very thin album made of short bond papers. My front cover was labeled Joe and Myla and the date he was in the Philippines.

For my pieces of evidence of the relationship, I stapled 10 emails from Joe and 10 snail mails. I also stapled my phone bills showing his number. I likewise pasted the receipts on a short bondpaper and stapled them together. All of them I placed in one folder which I labeled Proof of Relationship.

I had 10 webcam shots printed and 10 chat logs. I placed them in one folder and labeled it Chats

My fourth folder are additional documents in case they need more pictures, chats and emails.

So I had only 4 folders, thin ones and the stapled documents/album went thru easily in the pre-screener window.

Goodluck!!

Myla

Timeline

I have been reading inteview expriences and document prepartions and seems like everybody has been doing the same thing so I believe thats the best way to compile.

Just few questions :D

1. Are we gonna hand them all documents in once? or we will just have to wait what type of doc. they will ask for their review?

2. Are we going to get all docs back after the interview?

3. What does IRT means?

4. The only proof of engagement I have is my ring, would that be ok?

Anyway, thanks a lot Myla and for others who may answer my questions above.

To answer your questions -

1. From what I've read here, I believe we'll need to wait for the pre-screener's advise as to what documents would be required from us during our interview. Apart from the primary documents stated on the packet, they might request us to show additional proofs to validate our relationship with the USC.

2. I think, all original documents will be returned after the interview. - not really sure, somebody in here might want to correct me on this matter :help:

3. First time I heard of IRT - sorry

4. That I think should be fine but it is best to bring photos of you together, emails, chat transcripts, snail mails, phone bills, and etc.

I think I am overly prepared for my interview. I already have here all the needed documents (I started gathering them last September 2007) and the color-coded envelopes that I'll use for organizing. I'll also be creating tabs for their descriptions. The only thing missing in my files are the DS-forms which I will fill-up once we have a case # assigned and our appointment letter. I've also asked my husband to send the original copies of our NOA2, NVC letter (once received) and his most recent pay stubs (latest W2 I have is for January 2008). I'll also be printing some of our webcam snapshots and just put everything in a clear book. I also kept a calendar of activities and a to-do list just so I know that I have everything covered . I guess I am OC , but oh well... I just don't want to get any further delays out of this process and want to do it right the first time.

Goodluck to you and God Bless.
