Today is definitely one of the best days I have had in a long time!!!! I just received my approval!!!!!! I can't explain the joy I feel - but no one will answer their phone!! hahaha.... Especially him, I probably have just called him 10 times and I definitely don't want to tell him via text.. Now it is just down to doing the rest of the paper work!!! I hope everyone has as good of day me and receive your approvals too. I really thought the waiting of this really was going to break me, I feel the pain and anxiousness that everyone feels while they await the approval, but when you get that approval - my goodness, it's great! hahaha...

Good luck to everyone..

P.S. - my last touch before this was May 22nd

I hope that you get your approval today too! I seriously stalk the USCIS website, and I checked it last night and there was nothing. They sent my approval via Email at 5 am today... If your last touch was May 23rd you are sure to get your approval soon, if not today, this week I would assume.

GOOD LUCK!!!!! :)

Hola....

I'm really hoping I get my approval soon too, I'd like to be able to attend an interview in August or at least b4 the fall semester starts. It's going to be a lot harder to go to Peru in the middle of classes. But, heck, I'll do it. Plus, one of my professors is Peruvian and he knows the whole Luis & me story so at least I know he wont care, haha. At any rate, I have 3 classes I can miss for the whole semester in each class so I'll max it out if I have to.

Congratulations INCT! I check every morning too when I get up b/c I know those VSC workers for some reason are up at like the crack of dawn.

By the way.... I started planning my wedding! How awesome is THAT?

Have a great day guys,

Adios!

Suz :star:

Hi April. Looking like a good start to the week. Two new names posted. Congratulations.

I was hoping it would be you KIM so hurry up. We'll dance together after Nick and I get back from the interview tomorrow.

Re: tax transcripts, etc as mentioned above. I think if you have transcripts that covers W2s etc because the IRS is verifying all the info. But if you don't have a transcript, then you need to show the W2s along with your copy of the return. I wasn't able to get a 2007 transcript because it won't be available until November according to the memo from IRS. They did send 2005 and 2006. My 2007 return was complicated and I did a bunch of extra forms to lower my penalty for underpayment. Then when I got it as low as I could, I requested a waiver of the penalty with a sob story, begging statement. So my return is probably in the "review later" box and that's why no transcript...I'm under AP with the IRS. hahaha Also I'm certain when I was browsing some govt website about I-134 I saw a memo stating that one year's return instead of 3 is all that's now required . But since 3 is as cheap as 1 and can be ordered on the same form, I ordered all 3. Megan, don't forget your step-Dad should order transcripts too if that's the way you want to go and are hoping to take papers with you. I faxed my form in to the IRS and had them in about 3 days.

We're taking the bus into London in a few hours. I packed us an overnight bag and I'm waiting for him to get off work. I mentioned umbrellas and Nick acted like we didn't need them because it's been hot and sunny. Geeez, this is England! Well, guess what? It just started raining. Interview is at 9:00 Tuesday. I also booked 1:30 tickets for Buckingham Palace tour since they are opening for the summer tours tomorrow. I've never been inside. It's only open to the public in August. So tomorrow is full of adventure and I hope happy endings to the quest for a K1 visa.

Congrats to the new approvals!! Cant wait to be in your shoes!!!

Im going on a trip from Wednesday to Monday so I HOPE that while Im away and NOT compulsively checking my status that email comes!!!!!!!!!!

If its not, well, I'm still young lol, I'd wait for my man until my first greys start coming in :content:

And I also really hope Kim gets hers!!! 10 MONTHS since you saw eachother??? Damn woman, you have strength!!! Good wishes!!

Missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will.

Wow, I really appreciate all your well wishes for our approval. There's a few others i'd love to see come through as well. ;)

Gaura, we did have a 3 week visit in January/February in NZ. My mom took me for Xmas so she could meet his family...and so I wouldn't have a nervous breakdown waiting, i'm sure. She paid 6,000 just for both tickets! It's usually at least 2,000 to fly there r/t and 20+ hours of flight time alone soooooo yeah, not an easy trip to make. :( Especially after spending a couple years travelling all over the world just to be together. The hardest part is that we've already lived with each other for a year and a half so the past year has been well.... tragic really. :( Just stuck in limbo. Anyway, soon all of that will be a distant memory and we'll be on with it.... let's hope it's VERY soon!!! :)

I've only checked uscis about 4 times so far this morning so not too bad.

Ooooh mama nick have fun at the palace and goodluck.gif at the interview!!! I broke my ankle the very day we flew out to London so yeah, didn't get to go on too many tours with our time there!

You'll want to call NVC after a couple of days... Vermont gets there quicker as it's just over the border in N.H. ;) 603-334-0700, press 1 for English, press 5 to talk to a person. K1's are not entered into the automated system. They can tell you if/when they've received it and if/when it's sent out to the Consulate. It's best to call early morning EST or late at night. ;) (Some Consulates receive electronic version first so they'll have the info before they even receive the hardcopy ;) ) However, you can track your hardcopy through DHL once you have the case number. There are lots of posts around here about that... type track case nvc to embassy in search... and you'll come up with lots of posts.. probably a lot of my own! I'm just not at home right now to give you the c&p info I usually pass on.

As far as your interview... every Consulate is different. Some are quicker than others. You can get an idea by going to the Embassy Info link and checking but your best bet is to read others reviews of that Embassy to find out all you can about what will be required by you / your fiance and how long it will take.

Good luck!!!

From what I just read Chile has great reviews.... looks like 2-4 months from the time they get it. Perhaps you can expedite if you call? Also, don't forget your new updated letters of intent. ;)

I just wish I knew why we've been left behind... My situation at work is becoming very difficult, and the uncertainty is affecting me physically. Today is four months since we sent that petition for the second time... I am slowly losing hope, and that the fact that it would be very difficult for Michael to move here is not helping at all. Sorry to be such a wet blanket, but some days I feel very afraid that it's not going to happen for some reason I can't really fathom.

I'm sorry Raff hug9.gif I wish I could explain why some take longer. Peach's sent date (the date they supposedly go by) was 3/30 and she was just approved. By looking at those left I have to wonder if there is just this short stack of filers from your timeframe. Your initial concern of having a bit longer due to security checks because of your job could be it as well. It can be anything holding it up a little longer than some. :( The good news is that usually those dont get held up for too long. I'm sure it's coming... but in the meantime don't feel badly about being down or having to hold back as we celebrate. We know how you feel and understand your concerns!
