How did you and Dave meet in Florida? Was it spring break? On a beach ?? heh

Nah, not the beach :) I was there on an internship program and we met during corporate event, since he used to work for my company. Got to talking, next thing you know he is on a plane to Ukraine, a month after I left the States :).

I know the feeling of putting your life on hold... I´m graduating college and wanted to start graduate school, but that´ll have to wait til next year. I´ve said no to good jobs because they didn´t pay good, only had a chance of growing, but I´m not gonna be here for the growing part, what I really need is money, so I got a job I don´t like and has no future but pays better... I don´t feel like going out or doing anything at all, I´m just waiting... Talking though the computer isn´t too exciting either. He´ll miss my graduation and valentine´s day in Brazil (June 12th, I´ll be SO depressed) I´m missing his family reunion and birthday. I´m 23 and still haven´t learned how to be patient I want everything for yesterday! I feel like I´m waiting to start my life!

I wish people from VCS would read all this, right?

OMG, Fernanda, we have so much in common. I'm going through exact same things as you are right now! I graduated college, did my US internship and planned to go home for graduate school and decent job. Instead I met the most wonderful man, fell in love and now have to be patient and wait, wait, wait and be happy with my two part-time jobs, which are nothing exciting but do pay well so I can save smth up. You know what will be real overkill, if u tell me that your future husband resides in Florida, cause if VCS hurrys up and allows me into the country I'll be moving to Orlando :). All I can say, we have to learn and be patient. As hard as it is. I just stay focused on the happy future we ought to have. And do my best to include him in all major happenings in my life even if it is through telephone/internet. Both him and his family try to keep me posted as much as they can too.

Both VCS and CCS need to read this and understand how much power over people emotions and feelings and happily-ever-afters they have!

Are you serious, I´m moving to Orlando too! hhahahahahahahha!!!

What brought you to Ukraine?

Without going into details.....it has to do with American women and time being wasted LOL

I decided to try an agency in Lviv. They are the nicest and most professional folks I've ever dealt with. 2 trips and great experiences each time!

 graham. Is it not ridiculous the parties those kids have???? :o I will admit that I spoil my kids more than most but ummm yeah, I don't care if you've got money or not, that's just crazy to spend that kind of dough on a party for a 16 y/o ...especially one who obviously just 'expects' it. Gotta question those parenting skills! I mean, what happens when those kids don't grow up to be trophy wives or god for bid...ever have to get a job and work for their $$$???

Well it was nice to see something coming from Vermont last night and, as much as i'd love to see April approvals, it was good to see that they are catching up on those 'left behind'. It just seems fair and just. Now lets get on with the rest of us!

No idea where Brian is. Maybe he's just taking a mental health break from the wait ...although that really doesn't sound like Brian. I do hope he checks in soon just to let us know he's ok.

I know there are a lot of other April filers out there 'browsing' ( I see your names viewing the thread when i'm here! ) Please come join the conversation even if you don't think you have anything to add. It helps everyone to know we're not alone.

Have a great start to your weekend folks! Here's hoping the new month brings us all much joy! ;)

I've watched Super Sweet 16 a few times and I really want to shoot all of those little brats!!! How did your one go?

Welcome to the party HighwayStar!!!!

Oh and another March filer was done this week, so make that 41 have NOA2 now (52%)!!!!!!

OK, so after looking through all the people who do not have NOA2 from filing in Fbruary I went through the timeline and checked out their respective profiles to see if I could get a more accurate representation of the numbers. We have 4 people with RFEs pending, 1 person who has been approved but never updated their timeline and 1 unavailable profile. So the actual number of filers wth NOA2 from February for definite is 87 out of 99, 88%.

And there are two people who haven't been seen on the forum in nearly a month, don't want to count them towards anything though as don't want to misrepresent the numbers more.

I'll go through March later on and see if I can find anything there either.

Every little helps I guess!!!

I love it, cause I love Disney. It´s not too far from the beach, which makes me happy. At home I see the beach from my bedroom window, I´m so used to it! I heard Orlando is one of the most violent cities in the US, but I think that depends on where you are... not being mean about Brazil, but I´m used to violent cities. there´s people from all over and I find that fantastic! I´m excited but scared, having no job and no friends there!

How do you feel about leaving your country?

How do I feel? I can't wait... I've been trying to get away from Italy for years, but when I had the opportunity I was lured back here, only to rue the day I ever gave my country a second chance. Too long to explain here, and I'm aware that many people would disagree with me. Unfortunately, good food, art and a good climate can't compensate for things such as being stuck in a dead-end job without any chance of getting another, or having to deal with far too many bad memories, related to both my personal and professional life.

As I wrote in another thread, I have practically no family here (my parents are dead, and I'm estranged from my brother), almost no friends, and no hope of seeing things get better. I am aware that no place in the world is perfect, but I'm quite willing to give the US a shot, and do my best to make my home there. Michael and I talked long and hard about that in the two years since we met, and we came to the conclusion that the best thing for us was for me to move to the US, where I would have many more chances to rebuild my life. I know I will miss my hometown of Rome, but I think this will be just about the only thing.

To Fernanda:

Yay!! Another Disney fan!!! I adore the place!! My hubby-to-be does not really enjoy me dragging him there, but, hey, sometimes he has no choice :). Have you been to Food&Wine at Epcot yet??? That is my absolutely favorite Disney event :). As to Orlando been a violent city, to be honest I never noticed that. I've lived there for quite a bit now (just came back from 19 month internship) and had no problems. People are really friendly too and you will have no problems meeting new friends! And if you need any help preparing for the move or have questions as to were certain things are in O-town, feel free to message me anytime!

To HigwayStar:

Just hang in there girl, all I can say. And than you can always come back and visit Rome :). I neverg thought living in Italy can be that rough, since there are so many Ukrainians just dying to move there and be stuck in a dead-end job cleaning somebodys house or looking after older people. But I guess those things should be viewed in connection with ones cultural backgrounds, what might seem like great opportunity to former USSR citizens, might be really devastating to you Italians.

Susita, thanks for providing feedback "from the other side". I just wish we all got un-hung really soon :). And you are right, it's the happy future together what metters in the long run, but having so much patience is taking a toll on me :).

By the way, is Spanish really hard to learn? I'll be moving to Orlando, and in my previous stays there I noticed that a lot of people speak it in everyday life, so I am thinking about learning it just for fun :).

OK guy sorry for boring you with all the numbers but I'm trying to keep myself positive.

There's 42 now got NOA2 from March, 53% of the 79 filers.

And February has 88 with NOA2, 89% of the 99 filers.

Will go through March later nd see what I can find.

A great way to get your post count up as well :dancing:

OK guy sorry for boring you with all the numbers but I'm trying to keep myself positive.

There's 42 now got NOA2 from March, 53% of the 79 filers.

And February has 88 with NOA2, 89% of the 99 filers.

Will go through March later nd see what I can find.

A great way to get your post count up as well :dancing:

While your at it do May's GrahamandMegan lol.
