Fernanda, i'm so sorry you're having to deal with the added stress of the HRR. You're getting great advice from Ana&D. I do hope you find you are not subject to it and do not need a waiver.

Graham... hug9.gif big hugs to you and megan. I think most, if not all, of us can relate to how you're feeling right now having to part and play the waiting game again. :( Do ask megan to keep us posted ( I promise i'll be gentle with her! :P ) ...and good luck with your new postition.

Let's hope the time passes quickly for all of us!

Well fellow April filers, I'm currently sitting at gate 74 in Newark Airport waiting on the flight back to Glasgow. Today has been the worst day of my life. I hope VSC starts getting approvals out soon as doing this to people's lives is utterly disgusting. I understand the wait isn't that long in reality but it certainly feels it right now.

Take care everyone and I won't be on too much but I'll ask Meg to keep this topic updated regularly on any progress we have. So be easy with her, she is pregnant after all!!

I remember sitting at BWI waiting on my flight back to Glasgow, was utterly horrible, hopefully you wont have to say goodbye again, cmon Vermont get your skates on :)

I keep thinking forward to the day I arrive in the States for good, it is rather exciting, 52 days since we re-sent our forms, I'm not sure if it feels like that long or not yet!

Yeah, Nic, sometimes it feels like the time is flying by and sometimes it's like it has taken forever to pass. :( I was going over all the stats again last night and it still seems that 60 is about the average. They were talking in another thread about when you track your petition from NVC to USEM and how even tho their were only a few approvals here at VJ there were still 80+ going to the USEM so we must remember that even though it looks slow from our side...they could very well still be cruising! Fingers crossed!

Graham, I wish I had more words of encouragmentment for you and Megan. I know it's heartwrenching....but I hope it will get a little easier to adjust as time passes ....but by then you'll probably be approved and ready to come home! ;) At least you know she is in very good hands and surrounded by people who love her. Meagan, please feel free to jump in and join us anytime! We'll miss graham around here too. ;)

The day Russell comes back home and never has to leave my side again is a day we will celebrate for the rest of our lives....probably even more so than the day we are married. I'm sure you folks can relate.

It is very strange, I dont think I joined VJ until after I filed (cant remember for sure!) now that I did it seems to make it easier to handle, it is like going on some sort of trip you have lots of other people with you for the journey! (if that makes sense hehe)

It's like anything else in Life, Nico... nobody can understand like those who are dealing with the same thing so that is where you find the most support. ;) I'm the strongest person I know and i've been through much, much worse in my life...but I still knew the minute I found this website last year that this would be like home to me in the months to come because of the resources available and because of all of you going along this bumpy road with me. Coming here helps me to keep things in perspective.

Yes, the journey is rough, but it's also the means to an end.... and a new glorious beginning! :)

Hi guys, we have the internet connection up here in sunny Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides!

Ok, so I've been home a couple of days but things are rushing through my mind like a whirlwind right now hoping we can be through with all of this. I know the criteria before filing is having met in person is to have done so in the last 2 years. Well we met for a month in 2003 and a little less than a week in November 2007. Megan then also came to Scotland for nearly 3 weeks and I had been in the States with her for nearly 3 week when we filed for the K1 and then I stayed up until May 25th with her. Basically I'm asking if this is sufficient to have met the conditions?? I'm freaking out being up here and so far from my love.

And when are we going to see Vermont filers being approved again? It really seems to have slowed down looking at Igor's list :(

And looking back at all the NOA1s and the touches, am I the only one who has noticed that the most recent touches everyone has had is 26 days after their NOA1 was issued? Maybe I'm reading in to it too much but as far as I can see we are all the same!!
