Ohmygosh, I really missed Cristina's post above... My bad! I am way too stressed these days to think straight, and if it weren't for you wonderful VJ'rs, I'd really be up s**t creek without a paddle :D ! Thank you so very much for your help! At any rate, I'm still waiting for my birth cert, so no harm done... And I am nowhere near having completed all the things I have to do either!

Good morning april...

WELCOME HOME GRAHAM!!! Couldn't be happier for you guys! :) So are you still planning on getting married on Oct. 18th or is it the 4th?

I guess I best get going on the AOS stuff since you all are depending on me, eh? It's really just a matter of more forms, marriage certificate and, of course, $$$ Hopefully you got a vaccination sheet at your medical to send along with the I693??? If not, you will most likely need a letter signed by a civil surgeon here in the US stating you've had them all. Although, some people seem to get through without that. Like every other part of this process... confusing and inconsistent!

10 days - 13 hours!

Hello again! The weather has turned nice and cool, since we've finally had rain... I am not a summer person, and this year, due to the visa-related stress and the lack of a vacation, I suffered even more than usual because of the heat. Well, now it's seems it's over, and I feel much better in every sense now! :) Tomorrow I'm going to fill in my DS-230 pt. 1, and fax it to the Naples consulate. Hopefully it will be a matter of a few weeks before I get that interview! I can't believe it's almost over...

Thinking of you and Russ, Kim, and wishing you the best for your upcoming wedding.... You've been a real friend to me throughout that endless wait, and I will send positive thoughts your way (not a praying person, I'm afraid). BTW, I did what you told me to get a screenshot of my inbox, and it worked! Thank you so very much once again!

Thank you for your kind words, Raffaella. I'm not a praying person either. ;) ...but really do appreciate the kind vibes. :)

I'm glad you got your evidence sorted and glad I could help you with that. You're most welcome.

Looks like smooth sailing from here for you. You'll be home before you know it...with the rest of us U.S. Italians!

ciao! ;)

Hi all,

Kai and I are in the last ones of the April filers group. We sent our petition mid April, it was received on the 30st of April and we got NOA1 only 22nd of May.. :about 5 weeks to get NOA1..didn't start too well!!

since then it's been almost 4 month and we are still waiting for NOA2. we got touched for the first time last Friday so we are hoping for a good news soon :) in the meantime I've stoped my job and I'm going to visit Kai in DC this week so the wait isn't that bad !(hopefully I'll have a cool officer at the custom though..).

Anyways, I just wanted to say hi and congratulation to all the april filers that were approved and are on the final run process, and bon courage to all those that are still waiting like Kai and I!! :)

we are really happy visa journey exists, it make the whole process much more understandable and bearable!

Lili

mmm I realise kai put on our timeline that we sent the petition on 30th of April. I thought it was earlier than that really..

anyways, seems like we really are the last ones on the April group / or maybe actually considered as in the May one!

MnM.. so pleased for you!! congratulations!

Hi Lili, nice to see you. I'm sorry you are still waiting. I do hope your touch means something. I read in one of the other threads about Vermonts updates being messed up...this is the first time i've seen VSC having problems with their updating.

INCT.. you can find sample interview questions here.

Russell has his interview tomorrow night 6pm (est). We know this is the final step but for some reason i'm not too concerned of nervous about it (although i'm knocking on wood here as I type this  ).

my interviewer asked me like three questions -where did you meet, when did he propose, when are you getting married... I gave her more info than that as I was chatty, but she was really quick, probably cos they'd kept me waiting sooo long when Id been the first in at 7.30am!! They didnt even want to see my beautifully compiled evidence file complete with up to date pics and screenshots of our 400 emails!! psshh!!

I had to some fast talking about the whole affadavit thing though, so just make sure your paperwork is puurfect and make a timeline of key dates in your relationship so when they question you, you dont get mixed up and sound dodgy! :)

Missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will.
