Thanks all!

I've been thinking. They received my 1st RFE response on Friday the 1st in the morning, is it even possible that they would send an RFE for the same reason in that amount of time? 1 1/2 working days?

Thoughts Anyone?

maybe, now that's the second time you receive a RFE I strongly recommend you to go with an immigration attorney, they really help, he did everything for me when I received the RFE, I just had to sign, He'll make sure that everything is correct so there will be no problems, google a few near you, there are some that are not very expensive, there's a place near here called international institute and they give free immigration consultings so try to find something like that where you live.

Best wishes

Yeah, well if its in regards to the I864 then I will consult further with an attorney, or just get a sponser! They are lazy A$$$$e$ over there though if it is for the I864 because I showed that $hit to an attorney and he did say it was more than enough to sponser with the assets.

If i didn't love my man as much as i do, I would just move back to Canada. The Government in this country $uck$ big time.

Thanks, unfortunatly i have no money for an attorney and to be honest with all the horror stories I have heard about them messing things up I am quite reluctant to hire one. I have quite a few friends here who have hired some locally and said they messed things up worse than if they would have done it themselves.

When it comes down to it, I am quite sure I just got an undertrained, lazy adjucator. And so this is what I have deal with.

But then again i am being hopefull its for something else.

I posted this on Sunday in a couple of other threads but I guess I have some friends here too who I would like to tell.

It appears that my marriage is over already. :(

Scott has had a lot of problems adjusting to living with someone from the minute I got here and it has now got so bad that he can no longer do it. This is the third time he has decided to leave me since May – we managed to ‘talk things through’ on the other two occasions. I won’t go into too much detail but in my opinion he seems to be suffering from some kind of depression that he refuses to seek help for and I had no idea about it until I moved here.

I have now accepted his decision with grace and have chosen to move on with my life.

After much thought and deliberation about whether or not to move back to the UK I have decided to give the US a bit more of a chance first. I have my Green Card now and as long as I can prove to USCIS that I entered the marriage in good faith I should be able to remove the conditions on it after the divorce.

I do however hate living in Massachusetts so have decided to move. Based on internet research and Scott’s personal experience I have made the decision to move to Charlotte, NC.

Anyway, that’s about it really. I’m planning to spend a week in Charlotte from 24th August to find myself somewhere to live and I’ll move down permanently 3-4 weeks after that. I’ll be moving there totally alone and won’t know a soul, which is a little daunting. I’m currently reading “Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway” by Susan Jeffers, which is helping. helpsmilie.gif

I won’t be leaving Visa Journey though, I shall be here forever I imagine. :D

p.s. Anyone reading this from Charlotte.

Oh god! So sorry to hear that. I mean you seem in good spirits and these things happen but wow. You only JUST got married! But if it's for the best good luck!

Thanks everybody.. I am kind of getting used to the idea now and it doesn't seem bad (my 1st reaction though was - OMG, my life is over). It does seem like a blessing that will help me get through this deployment quicker. I just feel bad for Daniel, he is feeling depressed and just wants to come home. Says he will never forget not being here for me right now. I am trying to cheer him up so job hunting has taken a back seat too. I really need a job though to keep my sanity.

Englishmuffin - Hang in there. You have made a wise decision and will get through this difficult time. I will keep you in my prayers. Praying you get a good job soon and move on (F)(F)

Steph0814 - Praying for you to get your approval soon (F)

I'm thinking that's exactly what it is. Instead of giving you that case processing resumed message they did a rundown of what you returned. The easiest thing to do is just get a joint sponsor and call it a day. At least if this is the case they didn't make you wait another 3 months before sending another RFE. My god these people are crazy, the things they put people through!!!

Good luck Steph, let us know what this is all about. Guessing you should have the letter by the end of the week.

I'm so sorry EnglishMuffin! You seem like a really strong person so I'm sure you will be fine in NC, you will meet lots of friends there and find peace and happiness! (F)

Steph, this is crazy! Let us know what your RFE is about as soon as you know it! But on the other hand - your file is somewhere on top of the pile and they are definitely working on it! I have seen people getting approvals right after sending their RFE back! As for me, they are supposedly working on my case too, although I haven't had a touch since June 4th and I'm starting to doubt that they are really doing something... :bonk:

Congrats to all the approvals so far this week. Steph, we have a lawyer and he did not send in the info that we got the RFE for. He went over what he was going to send in, but he didn't do it. We had to get a lawyer because of our situation. Hang in there, I'm sure it will get better. It is very frustrating!!!!!!!!
