AOS FILERS - April 2008

I applied for EAD, AP and AOS back in April. Received date - 16th April, Notice Date - 21st April. Had my Biometrics on May 8th. Haven't heard a single whisper of anything from anyone since then! The 90 day period is up tomorrow (90days from Notice Date). I have booked an Infopass appointment for Tuesday morning in hope that I may be able to see my EAD sometime very soon :(

The wait is a killer. They say they process the applications in order they are received, yet theres people's timelines that I read that applied after me and already have theirs :(

Yeah, it's really frustrating...

Let us know how your infopass went, good luck!

I hope I get mine before I have to set my appointment, but you just never know with USCIS.... :(

I have seen people request a infopass. What does a info pass do? Do you get more information then calling USCIS? I hope so, because they tell you nothing. Good luck on your info pass. I hope it brings good news.

Once its gone past the 90 day mark, you can make an Infopass apointment to put in what they call a "Service Request", where they actually send a request to the NBC (Formerly the MSC) to check on the application. From reading other people's timelines and post's it seems that the EAD and/or AP response comes quick after that.

I know this is not being too positive, but I have gone ahead and made an Infopass appointment for the 8th of August and if it comes before that then I will cancel it.

It will come, we just have to patient, the good news is that they have updated the processing times and it is now APRIL 16th and on.... :D

Day 90............................NOTHING.

Case status online still says.......'Case Received and Pending'

Still haven't heard any updates whatsoever, is the USCIS still in business?!?!? I now have a job offer which is dependent upon me showing my EAD!

Question.... It seems as though there are different rules for everyone with the USCIS, BUT does everyone receive notices that their EAD has been approved? Or is there cases where the EAD card will just show up without having the 'EAD approved' and 'card ordered' notice? I can't afford to wait any longer :(

Well, supposedly you are supposed to recieve an email from CRIS however some people don't won't know till it shows in the mail. It really just depends.

If I were you I would make an INFOPASS pronto to put in a service request.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Steph, I have an Infopass appointment scheduled for Tuesday morning. And if by some miracle my EAD comes Monday I will cancel the appointment.

I just find it hard to understand why I haven't heard anything! I have this bad feeling that my application is lost and I will have to re-apply or summit.

I'll keep everyone updated and can only hope in the next couple of days something positive happens with this EAD.

All the best with your Infopass tomorrow.

So i went to the Infopass page to change my Infopass appointment, and it is now telling me "there is no appointment information for your area"

#######? Why would it say that?

Any ideas?

Have you tried the website again to make sure it wasn't just a glitch at the time? Maybe try looking for a number to call (not that that will probably help :))

Otherwise I don't know, sorry.

Day 91 today and nothing in the post, website still says 'received and pending' - i've decided to ignore the website as it probably only gets updated once a month. Infopass tomorrow morning, the job offer wants me to start on 28th July! It's looking slim that I will be starting then :( Looks like more financial worries, thanks USCIS!

How much time ahad do you need to set up infopass appointment? My 90 days from Notice Date will be on July 30th, if I set up infopass now and get EAD later, can I cancel appointment without a problem?

Adzman, good luck to you, let us know how it went!

Congratulations .... English Rose and English Muffin!

You can say now say see you after 2 years USCIS!! ;)

I'm hoping that we get more approvals before the end of the month! I applied for work and it all depends on my aos approval (The company hires only GC holder or USC). But the good news, they are willing to hold the position til I hear update from USCIS!

Pray for us waiting......
