Best of luck next week Steph. I think we're all just hoping our applications aren't forgotten and need to make appointments to bring them back to life.

Are you going to make an Infopass appointment? Your 3mo period date since filing comes up on Aug 6th

Yes, most definitly going to put in a service request if i dont receive anything.

My current drivers license is up at the end of August as well as my car registration, so its quite important that I get it before then.

All the best to you Heliosphan, I am right with you!

TO all you fellas who got their EAD card, Could you please share some information. I have couple of questions:-

1) Did you get EAD card and approval notice in mail separate (or they the same thing?)

2)If you got EAD card in mail then what type of envelope was it? Was it from USCIS or was is it a plin white envelope from KY.

3)Same for APproval notice (if it is different then actual physical card), what envelope was it in?

I got EAD approval notice sent e-mail and card production ordered e-mails but never received anything in mail (EAD card or EAD approval notice). It's been more than 30 days and when i called USCIS then they said it's a lost mail because they never received it back from post office as undelivered and hence i have to reapply the whole EAD again????????

So it would be helpful to know what kind of envelope did you guys received your EAD card. Since, i looked at each and every mail for past 30 days and didn't get anything related to EAD. I got my AP document though(incidentally it was approved on same day as my EAD. Go figure that out).

Sammy,

Sorry I can't answer all your questions but since no one has answered yet, I will answer what I can.

I didn't sign up for the e-mail notifications, so I didn't know the AP or EAD were coming...they just showed up in the mail. My wife is currently traveling and has the AP with her and I don't have the envelope any more but I remember it was just a plain envelope from USCIS I think. The approval came...no notice that it was approved was sent first.

I do have the EAD envelope...it's plain white, normal size (4.25" x 9.5"), with 2 clear windows for the return address and my address. The return address was PO Box 648005, Lee's Summit, MO 64064. It came from the USCIS Missouri Service Center. Did not receive a letter stating approval ahead of time...cards just showed up in the mail.

The AP envelope was the same size as the EAD envelope, with 2 copies of the AP approval and that's it, so both were relatively thin letters.

Hopefully yours will arrive soon!

Best of luck

Hi Sammy,

Just got mine

1) Same thing - 2 days after e-mail notification

2) NOT a USCIS Envelope - Plain white one (they do this cause there's an important document enclosed I guess)

3) N/A

I was surprised myself, cause I thought it was some "junk" mail. When I opened it - turned out it was EAD approval notice and the card

Congratulations Starlarose!!

Like I mentioned, I got my EAD in mail last night!!!:dance::dance: Sooooo happy :star:

I think I figured out why CRIS sends 2 "card production ordered" e-mails:

I got my first e-mail on 9th July, 2nd one on 14th of July and then 3rd saying approval notice was sent - on the 16th

Looking at approval notice - it's dated 14th of July... I can only assume that it's the date when the card was actually produced, they must have updated it in the system and it kicked out a 2nd e-mail. Who knows... but this makes some kind of sense at least...

Would you take a look at your approval notices - does the date match the date you got 2nd "card production ordered" e-mail? Just to see if my theory is plausible

It is so frustrating to see people before and after you get approved, touches.....something. My fear is we are going to be one of those cases that are going to be dragged out for some reason. :(

To those people who have been approved, touches....that is awsome. I would not wish this frustrating waiting on anybody.

We've all had this fear, Chris - and still having when it comes to the GC...I thought my case was thoroughly screwed when I got an RFE after 2 months of waiting with no updates and a notice for re-doing biometrics shortly after. But so far it's been going ok, keeping my fingers crossed.

Don't stress about it too much, the approval is coming!

I know how frustrating it is - keeping my fingures crossed for all you guys still waiting!!

Good luck!!

Yea, I hear what you are saying. That is great your case is moving. I know I have nothing to complain about when I see other timelines. I feel bad for her becase she is just at home and so bored. She has always worked and it is hard for her not to be working. Patience!!!!!! I will work on that.

It seems that when you file I-130 with your application it usually takes longer. So I am trying to convince myself that it is normal and not to get discouraged.

Hopefully next week will bring some good news for us.

Thanks K&W! At least I know that there are many more peolple waiting for EAD and I'm not the only one (well, together with Steph ;)))

I applied for EAD, AP and AOS back in April. Received date - 16th April, Notice Date - 21st April. Had my Biometrics on May 8th. Haven't heard a single whisper of anything from anyone since then! The 90 day period is up tomorrow (90days from Notice Date). I have booked an Infopass appointment for Tuesday morning in hope that I may be able to see my EAD sometime very soon :(

The wait is a killer. They say they process the applications in order they are received, yet theres people's timelines that I read that applied after me and already have theirs :(

Congrats to everyone that already has theirs though, I bet it was a huge weight off your shoulders when it finally came :)

I have seen people request a infopass. What does a info pass do? Do you get more information then calling USCIS? I hope so, because they tell you nothing. Good luck on your info pass. I hope it brings good news.
