Thanks Gillian. I have another doubt. For date of birth certificate should we submit the original or a photocopy? Also since my original date of birth certificate doesn't contain my name, should I submit any secondary documentation? If yes, then what should I submit?

Only submit copies, NEVER submit originals of things like Birth Certificates.

If your Birth Certificate doesn't contain your name then I'd submit whatever I had that might help, use whatever you did for the K1 maybe? I can't you help any more with this I'm afraid because my Birth Certificate has my name on it.

We just returned from the post office as well. All our forms are finally on their way. I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment even though it's just the beginning of the process. Ha!

Is it ok if I submit copy of my Utah temporary ID card as secondary document to my date of birth document? It contains both my photo, current address and date of birth.

Question:

do we need to have the SS# of my wife in order to file the I-485 AOS? The form asks for the SS#, but we'd rather file the form now and not have to wait for the SS#.

I just got back from the Post Office after mailing my AOS package and thought I'd start a thread for all the April filers. Anyone else filed today or planning to this month?

Hi, Tihs is my first post on the forum. So far so good. I am gathering all the information on sending for AOS. I have some questions so I hope some of you may read this and give ma a nudge in the right direction.

1) About I-94 Form

My fiancee has arrived in Dallas, TX on March 18th with two kids on K-2 visa but they didn't get i-94. They have a VISA from Frankfurt, Germany. In all paperwork I see they ask for I-94. - So I just write n/a for now because we don't have that form. When she was here in the Summer for a visit she got the I-94 stapled to the page in her passport but this time they didn't need it I guess because they just stamped her passport next to the K-1 Visa.

2) About A# number

My fiancee has A# on her visa but the kids have A#UNKNOWN. I wonder if I should enter my fiancees A# on their paperwork for I 485.

3) SS-5 Form

We've already gotten married (April Fools Day) and on Monday we want to go to SS Office and get her and the kids SS numbers. Has anybody been in this situation recently? Can we just go and present the passports with the K-1 and K-2 Visas? Does it matter that we are already married or no?

I got the letter for biometrics which is appointed on May 7. Great things keep on moving !
