When should I start worrying that we haven't been approved yet for his EAD? I'm noticing a lot of people who filed around the same time as us, that have already received theirs in the mail. We just bought a house and kind of need the EAD! :wacko:

October 16, 2006 - NOA1 in mail from CSC

December 19, 2006 - NOA2 notice date

October 1, 2007 - Interview (Approved pending Police Report)

November 22, 2007- Visa in Hand

I didn't receive my EAD either, and my NOA dates are 1 week earlier than yours. Technically you should start worrying next month, when the processing times for NBC are updated on the USCIS website and the I-765 processing times would have moved 1 month (from the current March 22 to, presumably, April 22). Your NOA date is April 21, and if the new processing time is after that, then call USCIS or make an Infopass, but if the new processing time is before April 21, then wait another month. The USCIS will not lift a finger if your NOA date is within their processing times.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY GREETINGS! We had fun that night - went out and had lots of margaritas for both my birthday and the EAD arrival (F):no: !!!

That day when I went to my DMV but I had forgotten my marriage license and, since the permit was issued to my maiden name and my EAD has my new last name on it, they wouldn't proceed... I couldn't get upset even if I wanted to... it was too nice of a day! I went back yesterday, and got my permit renewed and then we went driving around... I missed it so much! Now I'm ready to take a road test.... :)

To all of us - good luck! I hope everybody will get their EADs yet this week!!!!

Thanks a lot, Daiva (F) ! I've been driving around like crazy (crazy happy, I mean!) It's raining around here, too, so I'm trying to not get super excited! Too dangerous... My husband says that I'm read for a road test though. I'll schedule it tomorrow....

I've been also looking for jobs. Even though I'm not planning to start working before October (I think,) I know I have to start a job search beforehand, so I'll see. Actually, Nick and I've suddenly decided to move into a new apartment - a bigger one, so I'm getting ready for this, too- cleaning, sorting out clothes, and taking care of all the packing while he's working. So many changes at once, it's so exciting!

Bring your marriage license, too.

The form you can pick up in the office where you'll go to apply for SSN. Or, read here ---
