Hi Rainbow007..we also did not write the reason why we're applying for advance parole because a friend who sent their AOS 3 weeks ahead of us did not include one either. i hope we don't get RFE...

do you think we should post it as a separate thread and gather the experience of the applicants before us?

You get a letter from them. Actually it looks very much like the NOA but it has instructions on where and when to get your Biometrics done. I was surprised at how soon it was though, just 10 days away. Not that I'm complaining - we're off to New York for a short vacation on the 28th so the timing couldn't be better.

Received our NOAs for EAD & AP today .... I don't know what happen to AOS.... but we'll wait besides the money order has not been cashed! Just got a little error on my surname for the NOAs though... my married name was hypenated and they didn't put hypen on it.. It's clear though that in my application its hypenated! <_<

Anyway, We'll wait for the NOA for AOS then we'll send the correction on my name..

No, the 24th is good. It means that Biometrics are out of the way by the time of our vacation so one less thing to think about. Congratulations on your NOAs.

We mailed ours yesterday at the late night post office but it won't be sent til today. They should get it tomorrow. We came in already married so we'll see how broken the system is, I guess. I have consulted way too many border people and customs people and lawyers and government entities and never got a straight answer from any of them. So here we go!

4.16.08 -- Packet received at Chicago lockbox

4.22.08 -- checks cashed

4.21.08 -- NOA for I-485, I-765, I-130, I-131

4.23.08 -- Biometrics Appointment letter

5.14.08 -- Biometrics

5.19.08 -- RFE

6.28.08 -- Sent evidence by overnight

7.02.08 -- Evidence received

7.03.08 -- Touched

8.05.08 -- Travel document issued

8.11.08 -- Employment Authorization card issued

09.08 Interview date set

10.23.08 AOS Interview and Approval
