Just got an email from CRIS

June 10, 2008

EAD card production ordered and aproval for AP! YAY

says it will take up to 30 days to receive both but its approved!!

Congratulations to everyone on the approvals and transfers. Its started happening some movement for April filers. Finally. Hopefully more good news before the end of the week.

Hi there, I posted another thread but just wanted to share my situation here... I got bad news from my mom... My dad collapsed and became unconscious.... hemorrhage. On surgery now.

I do need expedited AP. When I tried to make InfoPass appointment, it says "Thursday" at earliest Doesn't make any sense for urgent case!! I will try walk-in tomorrow with doctor's letter.... can't be original, PDF of course .

That's something I didn't expect... sigh... moving to US is not 100% positive thing....

Hope no one else needs such expedited AP.

Just a quick minor update on my wife's AOS: she received her EAD card yesterday (06/09/08) in the mail and her EAD was approved 05/30/08. We still haven't received her EAD NOA2 in the mail yet (assuming we are supposed to) tho I had a CRIS update last Friday that her EAD NOA2 notice was sent. But since we have her EAD card already in the hand, I am not going to worry too much about it ad will give it a few more days. Hope its in the mail.

Anyhow, hoping/praying for a faster and smooth approval for her I-485.

Hi, congratulations on recent approvals!

And, thank you very much for your prayer and kind words. I really appreciate My dad survived 7-hours-operation. We don't know if he would regain consciousness, but anyway he's still alive.

Well, I just came back from USCIS Miami local office. I did walk-in and was accepted since it was emergency. I got waiting number and waited, waited, waited.... for 1 hour and 30 minutes. At 3PM... the office was closing When I arrived, there were bunch of people waiting, but all gone, only a couple of customer remained. Then officers started ask me... "what happend?" and saw my waiting number classified "D" (I don't know what it is for), and then said "Shxt! Who issued this?"

As far as I saw from their conversation, the officer who should handle "D" cases left office just before 3PM. No specialist for expedited AP there anymore. Sucks! One woman tried to proceed, but Chicago didn't reply. So she promised calling me back tomorrow, though she said she could give me AP in this week.

And the most fuxxing thing is, I HAVE TO FILE I-131 AGAIN!! i.e. NEED TO PAY FOR AP!!! :angry:

Since the original I-131 is still in the 90 days timeframe that USCIS declare, USCIS don't need to expedite it . Well, even if I don't pay, she could proceed expedited AP with original petition, but it would take about 1 wk. She kindly added "if THEY approved..."

If I pay, my travel document would be delivered most likely by Friday. They are very good to collect money!!

Anyway, I have to wait to see what's going on until tomorrow.

I hope you'll be able to see you dad soon. I'm sure he'll get better before you get there.

That sucks you have to pay additional $$ for a new AP and also for what they'd put you through in the local office. A**holes! I hope you'll get your AP this Friday and your EAD while you'll be away.
