Thanks ella..

I dropped Daniel to the Armory in the morning (will pick him up on july 1) and drove all the way back home by myself for the first time here B) Had to take one of my dogs for moral support  Wasn't too bad except even with the GPS I lost my way a few times and thought I will never get home. Guess driving here isn't too bad....

I am using my Indian license to drive ofcourse coz I can't get one in Texas till I get my EAD

This is interesting, I keep reading about people complaining that they cannot drive because don't have a driver license...and this week we call to the DMV department of Washington and they said I could use my Brazilian license...now I am confuse...somewhere I read that as I have a AOS pending I could not use my license...

Anyways...I will try to read more about that...because one of these days I drive a little bit inside of a farm...and I feel so good, I mean...living in another country and needing a lot the support of my husband..it feel good to be a little independent.

Thanks for post this experience! I cannot really imagine to be alone for 3 weeks here in this country without Jeff near...

Good weekend

Guh! We got an RFE. For what? English translation of birth certificate and I-94. Well I sent a copy of the I-94 and the birth certificate is in English AND Irish. Both are there. So now I am going to make another copy of the birth certificate and point out every single point of English on it with post-it notes and send ANOTHER copy of the I-94 front and back.

*Grumbles*

For some reason we keep getting officers that can't read English at all. It's very frustrating. This is the 3rd time.

First - The check was written on US bank in US dollars but they rejected it saying it wasn't. So we sent a certified check.

Second - Divorce Decree considered illegible even though it was a certified copy from the court house. Resent it in looking exactly the same.

Third - Now this.

I am so sorry this has happened to you. I will keep you in my prayers. Hopefully things will be sorted out soon (F)(F)

Thank you. Was mostly venting our frustration. It just seems to keep happening to us. I should have known to put post-it flags all over it to point out the English in the first place. In all the excitement I just didn't think to do so. :( Remember, don't assume they will fully read or see things. Usually they don't from our experience.

So sorry to hear that. :(

One thing came up in my mind.... did you have someone sign the translation certification? I mean, neither one of you signed? I think it is necessary to ask someone. If you knew this, please ignore this comment!

Good thing is... USCIS is surely proceeding your case  Hope this solves quickly! (F)

Did you go the interview? If yes, how was it?

I have sent my resume today ( just to try to see if any reaction is going to be ) and I have just got the e-mail back that they are interviewing people on Tuesday and they asked me if Tuesday is good for me. I will probably go to the interview ( not many chances - I am still concerned about my English ) but at least to see how everything takes place here and get some "interview" experience.

I didn't go to the interview since the local agent didn't reply!

Same here, I'm not comfortable with my limited English. But as you wrote, it would be good warming up! Try

Good luck on your job hunting!

The Irish Birth Certificate is officially written in Irish and English. All are. No need to get it translated because the birth certificate itself is in both languages.

The Irish Birth Certificate is officially written in Irish and English. All are. No need to get it translated because the birth certificate itself is in both languages.

Oh, sorry didn't know that :( . Maybe the automated adjudicate robot just checks if there's translation certificate  .
