That makes me mad, :angry: cause we filed on April 4 originally and USCIS returned the package saying a document was missing where it really wasn't. We sent the package back and they accepted it this time... which is fine except for the fact we lost 2 weeks because of it!!! :angry:

Hopefully, some good comes out of this delay and they transfer your case and you get an approval in 2-3 months (F):)

Hi,

I'm one of AOS April filers. My biometrics was on April 22, 08. However, I didn't get any touches since May 5, 08. Is that normal? Does anybody have the same experience like me?

Thats normal. Don't worry yourself too much. The touches are not that significant its just to keep us(filers) on edge i think. They enjoy toying with our hearts those USCIS people :)

Hi all,

Just a quick update... I'm leaving April Fillers and joining May Fillers

It turns out it wasn't really just USCIS taking their time to open my package... on May27th I finally heard from them: my complete application package was retuned to me as it was rejected.... my poor hubby got confused and signed as 'preparer' rather than 'applicant' on the I-130:whistle:... so the whole thing was rejected and we re-submitted it... so I am a May filler now :blush:

It was fun to hear from you all... now I know what to expect.

Mailed: 05/27/2008

Received at USCIS Chicago: 05/28/2008

Checks cashed: 06/05/2008

NOAs (I-130, I-131, I-765): received at home 06/06/2008, notice date: 06/03/2008

NOA (I-485): received at home 06/07/2008, notice date: 06/03/2008

Rejected Application:

Mailed: 18th Arpil 2008

Received at USCIS Chicago: 21st April 2008

[Nothing in between]

Complete rejected application returned to me: 27th May 2008 (delivery date)

*Rejected because hubby signed under "preparer" rather than "applicant" in I-130

I just received the a transfer notice letter from USCIS. No touches or update case online. My AOS case on USCIS website is still saying received pending. The transfer notice was sent to California on May 29. Add me in the list of the transferees.

Here is a quick update.. but first as a side mention... it seems like a long time since my last update post here on VJ :)

Anyhow, last Fri (May30th), we received a CRIS update that my wife's EAD card production has been ordered. W00t... :D

I have a question tho:

Do you guys think its weird that since my wife's biometrics appt letter, we haven't received any updates (email or paper) from USCIS and now all of a sudden we have an EAD card production ordered email from CRIS. Weren't we supposed to be transferred to CSC first? or Do I have my sequences all tangled up? :) or either (EAD NOA2 or CSC transfer) could happened first?

Due to work load and all, I haven't been able to come to VJ as often as I used so I may have missed any updates.

It's perfectly normal not to get any touches before EAD authorisation. Not every application is sent to CSC and perhaps yours won't go there.

Hopefully, NOT getting transferred to CSC (if indeed we are not going to be transferred to CSC) not mean a LONG AOS journey ahead... keeping my fingers crossed... Transferring to CSC or NOT is out of our control anyways.. so why fret it... :)
