I had my biometrics done almost a week ago and I didn't get any touches at all after. I worry a little bit... I know that I shouldn't pay so much attention to the touches but I can't help it.

Nothing on my end AT ALL. Not even after biometrics...

No touches, no emails.

I am trying to thing positive that I will walk to the PO Box and there will be my EAD card...but sometimes the negative thoughts get in.

Oh well, its not the end of the week yet.

I've got my fingers crossed and positive thought waves going out to us all

After reading in March filers thread, it seems that they started getting their EADs in about 2 months after filing. So the beginning of June should be our month ;) at least for EADs and APs. Let's stay positive and wait for good news !!!

Amen

Last night we took the dogs out for a walk and I was trying to teach them to heel. Daniel just tried to help by taking one of the leashes and I just lost it. I told him if you want to help - let me be self sufficient and don't help unless I ask. I even told him that if you think you are helping me right now then why don't you come home every night from Iraq to walk the dogs... I feel horrible right now for being such a meanie while he was only trying to help :crying:

No touches, no emails.

Same here, no touches after biometrics, this is strange because everybody got touches after biometrics but us. At least this is what I noticed reading other people's signatures...

I am not expecting my EAD yet, it was around 5 weeks after biometrics when others got approved so it will be the end of June/ beginning of July for me ( I hope!).

Maybe we got touches but it's not showing online? Even during biometrics they sanned my Notice, so there should be a sign of it. I know I'm making too big of a deal out of it.

I am sorry to hear that... You are just stressed out with moving, going through AOS and I think especially with your husband going to Iraq. This is understandable. Just talk to him about it. We all are a little mean sometimes even when we don't want to be...

Thanks a ton (F)

I know its hard for him too, leaving me here and the truth is my life here will be much more comfortable than his there. I just wish nobody had to leave their loved ones after going through so much to be together.. I called and told him I feel bad for last night and feel much better now. He's so good (is looking for a suburban for me on the internet at work just coz I said I am not too comfy driving a sports car with 2 dogs to take care of too). Don't we just love them? Isn't everything worth it to be with the person who loves us? (its not the new suburban talking :P hehehe)

BTW, where is the mailman today??

Parul,

I hear you, I snapped as well last night. I wanted to grill and the neighbor borrowed the gril and drained the propane tank and I was not happy. My Hubby is like " well lets not get negative" I just lost it. Told him not to tell me how to feel. Poor Man

I really need my EAD as well, my hubby owns real estate company and lets just say its getting tight finanacially and with my experience I could get a very well paying job. I really hope there are no hccups.

Prayers for us all....For good news.

Parul and Steph,

I was thinking I'd contribute into the topic :D

We all seem to be in the same boat

My husband and I have been working international for the last 3 years (before coming here). We love travel and it pays well. Sacrifise had to be made for me to be able to come to the U.S. We both turned down contracts overseas and came here to finish the process.

Well, besides the fact that we had to move from 2 incomes to 1 with U.S. cost of living, me being bored out of my mind (feeling so useless at the moment) I realised that once I am a permanent resident - it's not the end of the story. Should have done my "homework" better, I guess my own fault but it wouldn't change a thing either way.

I can't just come and go to move on with my career, there will be re-entry permits involved and so on. What a pain in the ***

Michael turned down job overseas again because of me, until I am back on my feet at least and it's just driving me crazy.

They first wouldn't let me in and now they are not letting me out!!! While all I wanted was to be able to come home with my husband to spend holidays, visit family etc.

I spent a couple of hours going off about this last night and drove him crazy

BTW I honestly think people like Parul (wives of US soldiers active duty) should have benefits, this would at least be fair!!!
