Our AOS journey has just started ... the package was mailed this morning :dance:

SUCCESS to all of us April filers !!!

K-1 Visa journey:

January '04: met in the USA

21st June '07: sent the I-129

06th November '07 - APPROVED, FINALLY !!!

19th December '07:Medical

20th December '07: Interview Date

21st December '07: VISA IN HAND

18th January '08: Leaving to US !

12th February '08: received SSN

14th March '08: WEDDING DATE

AOS journey:

04th April '08: AOS package sent

11th April '08: Notice date on all 3 NOA's (15 April in the mail)

07th May '08: Biometrics (done)

02nd May '08: Driver's license received

09th May '08: AOS transferred to CSC

15th May '08: AOS is pending at CSC (CRIS email)

18th May '08: AOS touched

04th/09th June '08: EAD Card production ordered (CRIS email) (2 e-mails on different days)

04th June '08: AP approved (CRIS email)

10th June '08: AP in the mail

12th June '08: Approval notice for I765 sent (EAD) (CRIS email)

14th June '08: EAD in the mail

17th June '08: 2nd visit to SS Office - changed my last name on the card

18th/19th June '08: AOS touched

28th June '08: SS card received with a new last name (in the mail)

14th August '08: GC ORDERED (Cris email) !!!

19th August '08: GC and welcoming letter received

Waaah!

So it looks like I will have to wait a couple weeks in order to send out the AOS package. Everything is ready to go, buuut we just bought a house with a pool on a lake. YEAHHH, so we will be moving so I am going to have to change all the addresses on the forms.

Buuuut, another thought I had was to just send it in with the current address (becuase a good friend of ours will be renting our current house) and then do an adress change later? Thoughts anyone?

OCTOBER 22 2008 (DAY 170)- I-765:Card Production Ordered/I-131: Approval notice sent

Hey Steph,

Just curious if you are just filing AOS from the US or are you guys going the K-3 or CR-1 route? I am trying to find others in our same situation... my Canadian husband is here in the US with me... he came as a visitor and we got married (totally not planned). Now we are wanting to just file AOS while he's here instead of him going back and filing the K-3 and waiting so long to be together again.

Yeah I was here on visitor as well when we got married I am filing an I-130 with the AOS. the I-130 is really not a hassle at all and about $335 fee.

I just got back from the Post Office after mailing my AOS package and thought I'd start a thread for all the April filers. Anyone else filed today or planning to this month?

March 8th, 2008 - We're MARRIED! Tyndall AFB, FL beachside!!!!

Aug 08-PREGNANT! Jan 09 -UPDATE! It's A BOY!

MAy 17 09 - Baby James Anthony born!!

I-129f was approved in 131 days from filing date.

Iinterview took 197 days from I-129F filing date.
