OMG OMG - I SO want to be a part of this group! If I file on the last day of April, will you have me?

We got our I-693a in the mail over the weekend. Now we just have to give everything the once-twice-thrice-over, sign, make copies, and send. I'm not sure it can be done by my lunch hour tomorrow so I can run to the post office, but I'm going to try. If not, barring any onforseen issues, it will be the 30th.

Hey, we sent our package the same day, but today I check the USPS online and they have this:

Label/Receipt Number: xxxxxxxxxxxU S

Status: Notice Left

We attempted to deliver your item at 9:27 AM on April 28, 2008 in CHICAGO, IL 60699 and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

How can this be possible? There is always someone waiting there for to receive this?

Other wierd thing is that the zip code is not the same (we sent to 60680-4120). We call to USPS and they say that probably (?? ) is the zip code of the USPS service...

They said that they will try again "tomorrow" and if don't work, after 10 DAYS they will send us back.!!

This is not a good day to start a week...

well, no...they didn't say it's a USPS error...as I was thinking...

but I just read a few minutes ago, someone AOS timeline that they put this update and it was this zipcode too...so, now I think that is ok.

My concern is, why nobody receive my package there...how is this Lockbox?

Now, I need to practice "patience" and wait until tomorrow to see if someone receive that..

We just filed ours on the 25th and it was signed for on the 27th (yeah I know the weekend - weird). We got married April 18th so we are doing pretty good I think.

Isent via UPS as I did not want any mix ups. It automatically checks the zip code. I think you will be fine tho.

Did you get a signtuare confirmation?

Got our biometrics done today. Went by very quickly, about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. Didn't bring marriage certificate and it was ok. I would recommend if your wife changed her last name bring your marriage certificate. They also checked her hands to make sure she didn't have any cuts that would interfere with the finger printing. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!
