We went down to the SSN office and applied for her SSN number. They said they have to wait before they can issue her a number because they had to do some background checks. I think it was just becasue the EAD had not been updated at UCIS.

Hi all!

So I had an INFOPASS this morning to make sure there were no holds on my case as well as to put in another service request for the EAD (with a confirmation # this time).

I think I gor the grouchiest lady on the face of the planet, she almost sent me away becuase I did only had the Bio Apointment letter and the Reciept for the EAD (not I485)...LOL

Anyway, she put in a service request and I got a confirmation and she said its still pending and there are no holds on my case.

Crossing fingers & sending positive vibes.

Well, I wish i had an interview. But what i don't understand is that i live in CA and i filed at NBC Chicago office, from there it was sent to my local office in CA then now it is transferred to NE. I would think interview would be in CA. This is just a maze.

I would give UCIS a call and see what they say.

Do you have a portfolio on USCIS website? If so, what is the last updated date on that? If that is recent, less than 1-2 months, then it is a sign their working on it. If not, you should give them a call, saying you don't see any LUD changes on your case for more than months. Although, I do have to warn you it is not easy to get information from them on the phone. Infopass might be a better idea in this case.

I would do a service request either by phone or infopass on your EAD. Make sure you get a confirmaiton number. As far as the I-485, just be patient. I think it is up to 200 days now for it to be processed.

My last update from USCIS was June 19, 2008 when they received additional documents for application I-485. Does someone know when I could expect to hear back from them? Looks like twice as many people have applied this year and that probably slows down the processing times.

an1234, I agree with Chris, put in service request for your EAD either on the phone or make an infopass with your local office. It has been longer than 90 days for your EAD, you're outside the normal processing times.
