CONGRATS Ali_e_Jeff on your Interview date. Awesome news I am sure.

So i got an email today (On my Blackberry) and the first thing I saw was " Request for Initial Evidence" my heart almost stopped, but then I scrolled down and saw this:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: MSCXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On September 18, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Something funny i was thinking though, I am quite sure the 2nd RFE was a mistake and here is my reasoning:

I didn't receive the 1st RFE email till 4 WEEKS AFTER they signed for the initial package. The 3rd RFE email was not received until 2 WEEKS AFTER they signed for the requested . (I never received this case resuming email until now)

The 2nd RFE Email was received 1 DAY AFTER they signed for the information, that definitely smells funny to me. ANYWAY I AM NOT SWEATIN' IT I AM SURE MY AED/AP AND INTERVIEW LETTER WILL BE IN THE MAIL WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS

Anyone here have received their Advance Parole and left the US without their Green Card?

Just got my CRIS notification that both AP and EAD are on its way. I'm wanting to make plans to go back to Australia before getting my GC.

Anyone got any experience in this amongst the April filers?

Thanks in advance.

A good news for me and my daughter.

My daughter and I had interview today. My daughter' and my interview time were 1 hour difference, but we were called in at the same time. We were approved!

It was painless and no stress at all.

The lady officer just went through the information which we put in the application and petition, my occupation (I was holding a working visa and sponsor myself and my daughter), my daughter's school, asked my husband about my parents' name, etc. She did not ask our marriage cert. even. We offered her if you need some pictures and any evidence of our relationship, she said "yes, please".

She then told us, you got approved and welcome to the America. We thanked her and then asked her if we can get I-1551 since I need to have oversea business travel, she said no problem. (My boss sent me to Canada for a business meeting tomorrow, I can go Canada now!)

I think she already had an idea if she approved our case before the interview.

Everyone who is still waiting, do not worry, you will be fine. Good news is coming to you soon.

Thanks you all

05/29/09, sent application package to Chicago USCIS for both parents

06/05/09, Checks cashed

06/08/09, NOA's received, online status visable

06/12/09, Bio letters received

Congratulations!

You're right, they tend to decide beforehand if you're approved or not. The interview itself is a formality most of the time.

She didn't ask you any questions about your relationship? Did you submit most of your evidence with the I-130?

Hi Everyone! Its me and I guess I am back on here for a bit. Feeling quite discouraged at the moment, I am worried i wont get my papers in time for my family reunion. I figured that 9 months would be enough time. But man....Sorry for the venting i have tried VERY hard to be patient but I am almost at a breaking point.

I havent seen my family in 15 yrs, and now because of an overstay (and please dont judge, you don't know what I have gone through) i wont be able to go till i have the Green Card (or stamp). SO SAD about all this. especially since 2 of the RFE's weren't even necassary according to thier (USCIS) instructions.... :(

I can't tell you not to stress it cuz I have no idea what you're going through.

But at the very least you're in the midst of the process and most people would kill to at least have to opportunity to adjust status so try not to worry too much.

The RFE is out of your hands and they've always processed them quickly with your case so I'm expecting your EAD email any day now.

We're all hoping it happens soon for you!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Today was our interview at the local office and it went really well, the lady was very polite and nice and she approved my GC right away, it was very simple, she just asked us where we met and when we started living together and stuff like that, very fast, like 10 minutes and then all of a sudden she asked me if she could see my EAD and I gave it to her and she said, ok so you won't need this anymore so I'll keep it for you, what I'm gonna do is order production of your green card for 2 years and she put a provisional stamp on my passport, I am so happy that now I can go to Spain and visit my family.

Take care everyone

Hang in there. No judgement here. My wife overstayed, so I know there are reasons for it. You might do an info pass and ask for advance parole to be expediated for above reasons.
