AOS FILERS - April 2008

I am really angry right now. I called UCIS and asked about the status of the EAD and explained that a service request had been done on August 28, 2008. Well, surprize, there is no record of any service request. All I got was that according to their website, we are within normal processing times and a service request can not be done. If I did my job, like these people, I would be fired. I can not believe there is no way to hold them accountable for their work. Do not they realize that the paperwork they process is actual people who are trying to start a life togather. To be a family. I want to write my congressman, but I'm not sure what good it would do. I just want them to be honest and know what they are talking about. Stop double talk, I'm not stupid.

I am SO SORRY! I agree in all earnest with you! It is the single most frustrating thing. I know how you feel more than you know.

It's this stupid Government!

Chris, this is crazy, I think you should keep on calling until you get to talk to someone who has some knowlege about the process... And probably it wouldn't hurt if you contacted your congressman, maybe he would help, he wouldn't be ignored by them like we are.

How are those processing times on their website NORMAL if they went backwards from April 16th to April 1st!? This would be 5 months for EAD and we all know it's not normal.

Looks like they have the easiest job, can say whatever they want to, they don't know anything, and they can't be hold accoutnable for anything. It's just not right! :ranting:

Thanks everybody. It is just soooooooooooooooooooooooo frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder they operate the way they do, they are not held accoutable for their work performance. They really need have a process in which compliants can be handled. I'm sure there are good people working there, however, there are a lot of people not doing their job. I read cases after cases where they jerk around with peoples lives. I get that there are some people who are abuse the system and/or not honest, however, I do generally believe that most people are only trying to be with people they love.

They increased their fees and told everybody that they would be more efficient, but are they? NOOOOOOOOOOO....they give the same excuse over and over...we are overwhelmed with applications. They make the process so freaken long, difficult and emotionally draining. That is not right.

I'm sorry, but this is difficult to take. We had to stop everything in our lives, to go down there and do this info pass. Then, to just act like they are doing something and not do it, is beyond what I can imagine.

I read about Steph and having three RFE, why not just be fair, and let her know the issues all at once. Why get peoples hopes up and then crush them when they (UCIS) fail to be efficient in their jobs? I think I'm done now. Maybe.....

Hi everyone....

been purposely avoiding VJ these past few days because it was hard to keep on hoping to get a notice transfer but today I got my interview notice instead. *sighs* I guess we're going to have to face them.

Steph and Chris, I know it must be frustrating to have to wait and have our "lives" in the hands of other people who may or may not be doing their jobs well. I thought when I get here things would be easier USCIS-wise, but it's more complex and unreasonable. AT least with the K1 or K3 process, there really is a timeframe of 6-10months or so. I guess we just have to be patient and believe that everything will fall into place in God's perfect time.

Congratulations to everyone who received their AP, EAD and GCs :)

I have to start preparing for our documents -_-

Hi stat lovers, here's the updated list of April filers as of August 31th....

So far, in total,

50 (+0) AP approvals, 66 (+0) EAD approvals, 50 (+0) transfers, 17 (+0) interview date and....

Hey all,

We've been sittin' back and waiting and haven't logged on much... see some folks have successes (congrats!) others have problems (good luck!).

Our status is unchanged from late June - EAD approved, AP approved. The I485 and I130 haven't been touched since April when they first showed up on Case Status of the USCIS site.

From the stats K&W put together, it looks like a lot of people have had their cases 'transferred'.

Should we be concerned that nothing has happened? I am unsure of what to do or if everything is normal.

People that had RFEs received email updates by the USCIS account alert email right? I ask because maybe something of ours was lost in our mail.

Thanks to everyone for the help and support!

Cheers,

David and Marta
