We had our interview today, it lasted 30-40 min. The wait was the worst, we got there 45 min before our appointment time and had to wait 90 min for my name to be called.

Our officer was very nice; he made us feel very comfortable. He asked my husband (USC) most of the questions, like: when did we get married and then how we met (he had to tell him the whole story of our relationship), my birthday, do we have children, where did we get married, where the reception was held, who lives in our house. He asked me some of the questions from I-485 (if I ever voted – he asked me that twice, left the country, was a communist, just the standard questions). Then he asked if we had any documents showing that we lived together, we showed him our lease, bank statements, credit card, car and rental insurance, phone family plan etc. He also asked if we had any pictures, we gave him 2 photo albums; he chose about 10 pictures of us (most of them with other people) and attached to our file.

He left the room for a minute to copy our IDs, passport and some other stuff, then said that he will recommend our application for approval, but the final decision will be made by his supervisor and I should get my card within a month. He also explained removal of condition after 2 years.

He never asked for my EAD, didn’t take I-94 from my passport, never asked for any info about my husband’s job.

Now the waiting continues…

Thanks guys, but I don't want to celebrate too early, I will wait until when I get "card production ordered" e-mail... I am still not approved officially.

the2ofus, why 9:01? Is it some "magical" hour for USCIS updates? I am affraid I would have to be waiting until Friday, the lawyer I talked to few months ago said that they usually approve cases on Friday... I will keep you posted!

I think I shouldn't expect anything before Friday, but I can't help it, I still worry a little bit. I really would like to get my card on time to be able to travel to my country for my sister's wedding on Dec 27th...

Don't worry. Recommended for approval is just a formality for junior IOs. The change online will come in 3-4 days.

I'm so happy, I had tears in my eyes yesterday! Last night we bought tickets to fly home for my sister's wedding in December...

congrats Ella you guys have come so far . Kinda new to this post but not new to VJ. My Hubby is from Poland and we started this process late last year. We are waiting for our interview date . nice to see some one else from Poland I cant wait to visit Poland and my husband misses is mother dearly. Again Congrats and safe journeys to you during your trip.
