Our wedding was March 22nd!!! It was amazing!!! I love having Luis and his son here, we are SOooo happy!

I've read the FAQs and Guides, and can't find this question, so I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere......

We are completeing our AOS packet to send...my question is regarding my name. I am changing my name to his and have processed this with the SSN office, my employer, etc, but I am wondering for immigration whether I keep my maiden name or use my new married name. ? Will this have an effect as immigration is investigating/interviewing us? As I have sponsored them as K1/K2 Visas under my maiden name, do I need to continue with the process using my maiden name?

Use the name that will match your Drivers license, SS, employer, etc. Unless the application states MAIDEN NAME, use your married name. Some people dont understand that if you filed using K1 and then go to the US, you will change your name (unless you keep your maiden name). Its common sense that you will change your name (unless you keep your maiden name) and USCIS understands you will most likely change your name so thats why in your AOS package, you are suppose to send a marriage certificate in the pacakge.

Congratulations!! One down again for April filers .. more to go!!! :thumbs:

I'm eager to get my AOS approve.... I applied for a job after a month I got my EAD, after 3 days they call me & set my interview the next day. I got a job offer but it requires a US citizen or a GC holder.... I can't get the job until the GC arrive! I told them I will update them end of this month whatever happen! The good thing is, they are willing to wait.. they hold the position for me (I just don't know until when)... :unsure:

Good luck to all of us waiting.... All we can do is wait and pray!!!
