I am in the USA on a K3 and have not yet adjusted my status.

I need to go home to the UK for family reasons. Does anyone know if I now can just apply for my permenant residency (CR1) whilst in the UK? Also my wife is coming with me to the UK to live for a while, is Direct Consular Filing from the UK an option?

Also does anyone have a good Immigration Lawyer in Minneapolis / St Paul minnesota that they trust? We are just not sure about the advice ours gives us!

Where abouts is your I-130.....has it been approved? If the I-130 is approved you can follow through with the processing at NVC and once completed and sent to the consulate you can interview there for the CR-1 visa. This however takes time.

You would need to look up the residency requirements for the UK in order to know if and when you could do DCF.

You can find me on FBI
