My mom received a letter from senator about our case it was addressed in my husbands name . It says we are under security checks and if we dont hear anything between 6-8mos to conatct senators office., but it came from Washington D.C . my mom will send it to me . I am so upset i really cant imagine waiting another 6 mos i hope it is cleared sooner than that. Any uplifting words would be nice.I fond out on fri by uscis that is was a name match and a file had to be transferred but the lady said i would get it, but the letter confirmed everything i dont how to explain this to my sweetheart I may hav to go to nigeria for a bit...

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I am hoping that they clear you much sooner than that. You guys have waited a long time.

If I were you, I would definitely make a trip. Because even after you get approved, it may be a little but going through NVC.

K-1 journey, AOS/EAD and ROC in my timeline

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

Thanks i am so hurt that is exactly what i said if they had started it early it could have been on its way they apparently just started processing it. My poor husband has to stay in nigeria and suffer, he wants to come and work and provide for his family thats all he talks about. I dont know how to tell him this tommorrow, why my own have to be like this . I have faith there is a higher power than them god almighty is on my side no matter what.
