i like my straight hair, but sometimes I get kinda bored so I wash it and I keep curling it with my fingers when it's almost dry until it completely dries and it gets a bit curly, but not much.

Aveda has two great products you might like:

The first (for when you straighten it) is Anti Humectant pomade. It is designed to repel moisture from the hair so the hair won't frizz and won't curl up.

The second is humectant pomade- this is for when you do wear it curly. It attracts moisture to keep your curls looking great.

And like any pomade product- less is more. Start off with a tiny amount- you can always add a little more later on or the next day if you need to.

Honey, you and I are in the same boat. I use:

A couple of drops of Chi Silk Infusion while my hair is wet.

Blow Dry, then use S Factor Heat Defender Flat Iron Shine Spray before . . . you guessed it . . . flat ironing my hair.

I haven't found a thing that works in Hawaii yet, other than my husband patience or a toque (Canadian for knit cap). I've got the Monica look in Hawaii. :crying:

Hi :o

I have naturally thick and curly hair too. You know what I do? It totally works.

I shave it down to 6/8ths of an inch!!! :D:o

And then when it starts looking like a mullet months and months later I get my roommate or something to hack off the back bit.

And then when that all gets too long and bothersome, usually about a year and more later, I go shave it again! Whoo hoo. $8. Can't beat xD

Nah I did that for a few years...I actually just had pretty long hair like...three weeks ago, grew it out for a couple years to try to prove I could be a girl and stuff. I finally succumbed a couple weeks and went and got it cut short again but at least not buzz cut this time

For some reason my hair is less curly and freezy by far when it's short, and then I can actually use the blowdryer (big no no before) and do awesome fro sort of wicked styles with it.

Now my roommate has quite curly long thick frizzy hair too...she has this big loonnnnng regimental treatment that I could never do, but her hair's very nice  I think what she does is like...shower at night, and comb it only in the shower. Then she gets it when it's still pretty wet and like...puts a bunch of gel in it. And hairsprays the hell out of it.

Then she lets that sit for a couple hours.

Then she goes in the bathroom before bed and does god knows what with the blowdryer for like forty minutes and when she comes out her hair's like pinned up.

Then when she gets up in the morning if she wears it down, she goes and does something with the blow dryer and the hairspray again

But it's very nice hair.

Um...experiment? xD SHAVE IT.

Summer 2001 - met my Scottish boy

December 18th, 2007 - proposal in Madrid's Botanical Gardens with a duck standing behind him going 'food?'

January 18th, 2008 - I-129F sent to VSC

January 31st, 2008 - received NOA1, issued Jan. 24 :)

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

February 29th, 2008 - NVC letter sent

I just had 10" cut off my hair and it's still past my shoulders...there will be no head shaving. My head already feels light enough :)

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

I have very thick, long, naturally curly hair and I can only bring myself to straighten it once a week because it takes me over an hour to do it and then it's still kinda frizzy. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have any amazing frizz control products that work wonders? Suggestions?

Aveda actually also has a newish product called "Smooth" that works well for me. It tames flyaways. I used to have much curlier and much frizzier hair, but that's not so much a problem anymore. When I did have that hair, though, Frizz Ease really did nothing for me.

I have thick, coarse, wavy/curly hair. I love Matrix sleek look smoothing system for washing and conditioning. Last month, while in Morocco, I got a WellaStrate relaxer for the first time. I have used several and this one has all my curly friends wanting one. I have not had a moments frizz or even needed to blow dry my hair; it has body, but stays straight, soft and managable with air drying. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Curls Rock by catwalk !

A little dab will do ya! ;) If you want to dry it, hang upside down and use a diffusser. Scrunch...don't 'play'! A little paste around the edges to keep it out of my face.

My hair with curls rock...

Even after a long day...

That's what works for me!
