I remember the Rising Sun when it was an elvis pub.

Glasshouse stores - I think I used to qualify as a regular there. It is the ideal meeting point for a night our in Soho/Central London.

I would love to meet up with some VJ'ers when I visit my hubby in London from May 7th thru 18th. It would be great to discuss our journeys. My husband is so confused with the immigration process since I've been the one doing all the paperwork. He's been working everyday and waiting for time to pass and just wants to come home.

So, if anyone is up for a night out in May give me a shout.

I could probably locate every Sam Smith pub in central London. Where else do you get a pint for 2 squids?

Agreed! And aside from the excellent prices, you generally avoid the loud tourist crowds at the Sam Smith pubs.

Cool! You should definitely come along. Poiteen -- what do you think about timing? If it's a crawl...maybe late afternoon? (I am going to need a cat nap so nothing too early...) What do we think about 4.30-5pm?

I have to admit, I'm a bit of a lazy ###, I like to get settled somewhere and dig in

But I don't mind, since I'll be leaving soon, I should get in a tour!! 4.30-5 sounds fine to me. It'll still be bright then, if it's nice we could find somewhere to sit outside!

Aww - that would be nice - but looks like I am making a little trip down on Tuesday now anyway

As for pub crawl - I like to dig my heels in too But you can always crawl until say 8pm then settle in for the evening somewhere cosy

Hmmm... Poiteen, I've thought about the whole settling in/session thing and I must say I concur. And Jeraly's point about moving on if the spirit (spirits??? ) moves us is well taken. So.... let's find a great pub to start with with some outdoor space. Any suggestions again?
