I work in the Soho/Fizrovia area so that's the area I know best in terms of picking a pub, but I'm open to all suggestions!

Yup, know it well! I used to work in Bedford Square and studied in Bloomsbury Square, and my ex was at law school in Store Street. Any number of good places... We could start at the Fitzroy Tavern, maybe? Or perhaps somewhere in Soho, like the John Snow? (How come everywhere I'm thinking of is a Samuel Smith pub at the moment?)

If it's anything like Bristol, you *navigate* by pubs - I know about three road names in Bristol but I couldn't tell you which ones they were... Now pubs on the other hand...

I'd join you but I'm not there until July 31st. (Just for a couple of nights, though.) We stayed at the Novotel London St Pancras the last time and it was lovely. We're thinking we might book at the City Inn Westminster this time, but I'm not sure yet. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Have fun on Saturday! I'll have a drink, here, to join you.

Ooh! Glasshouse stores! And oh my god... the Rising Sun... Does anyone here remember when it was briefly an Elvis-themed pub. No, I was not hallucinating. It really was ELVIS-themed.

Okay... How about we start at the Rising Sun, then maybe wander down through Fitzrovia via Rathbone Place (some good pubs on the way) to Glasshouse Stores, then on to the John Snow?
