Ok peepz, let's follow Trailmix adventures....

So far, the relocube is in Canada at Mr. & Mrs. Trailmix's door. Temperature is -7 centigrades. Appears a second relocube will be needed.

Rumour has it that the big networks are approaching the location of this unexpected twist in the trailmix saga, that has enthralled the nation for months.

Reporting from cybersomewhere, LadeeHeather, war correspondant.

Ms LadeeHeather, War Correspondent,

What an assignment you have pulled! I was afraid no one would be there to brave the challenges this intrepid couple will face as they - gasp - move EVERYTHING from the extremes of -7 C to +85 F! What a move! What courage! What excitement! Thank you for taking on this task!

Len!

Ok folks, guess what! Everything fit in the relocube! The only thing that didn't was the water softner, and if we reorganized a bit we might be able to squish it in - but no matter, not concerned about it really.

Oh and the movers were really good, my Husband still has a few small things to put in.

Oh...and my Husband fell off the truck, in to the snow! He is fine

Reporting again  . The networks do not have access to the reports on the REAL cause of Mr. Trailmix's unfortunate mishap. I have heard, from reliable sources and risking my life (which must be said, is my #1 skill, dealing with danger  ), that the aforementioned Mr. Trailmix (aka Mr. Nutmix) was so taken aback by all the furnishings fitting in one relocube that he just fainted.

So beloved readers, do not believe in the rumours that say that Mr. T. had one too many and is about to have a nervous breakdown due to the move  ; because nothing is farther from the truth. In confidence,

Mr. T. has said to this correspondant: "I cannot wait to get to FLA and surprise folks with my newly acquired Joyce-Bathing-Suit". :wow: I am trying to reach Dear Joyce for comment (she is a dear friend of mine since our days in the Studio 54).

Still alive and reporting, Ladee Heather, at large.

Well, we are not leaving tomorrow as originally planned! The Canadian and U.S. weather is - snowy.

Basically the highway between here and Lethbridge is poor, so we are now planning to leave Wednesday, if the roads are good.

So, we are going to be sleeping on an air mattress tonight. It is the Coleman queen size...however it looks big enough for 1 person! So if we wait in Calgary a few more days before leaving I think we shall be moving to le hotel!

oh my I enjoy this thread.

And Trailmix, I cannot believe there is snow in Calgary (or that Mr. Trailmix fell in it). . . . its warmer in Edm?! The weather must know the Oilers aren't making the playoffs and we need some golf greens.

A grown man afraid to drive in a blizzard, I guess Nutmix was more seriously injured than we thought.

I just love sleeping on an air mattress, nothing is more comfortable than that pneumatic instrument of torture. I just hope it doesn't deflate too much. Trailmix, your back is going to love you in the morning. :crying:

As a Leafs' fan I must ask you one question, what are the playoffs? :innocent:

Hope you have clear skies soon trailmix! We'll be following your travels via Ladee Heather here. This is going to be funny. Glad Mr. trailmix (Mr. Nutmix??) is okay and that the snow cushioned his fall.

Ok, well the air mattress was actually really comfortable, go figure!? Granted it could have been exhaustion.

Anyway, I am sitting on a lawn chair, my monitor is on a file cabinet that we are leaving here, mouse and keyboard are on my lap (computer mouse). Husband is next to me, sitting on the steps that lead to the kitchen, he is sitting in the cats bed (cat is on the window sill btw) - just trying to figure out what IR5 will comment on here haha.

And no, Mr Trailmix isn't scared of le blizzard, it's Ms Trailmix that isn't a mountaineer! When it gets snowy it's the Australian who is driving not the Canadian

So I called a hauling guy yesterday, just had a few bits and pieces for him to take, he came over at 7:30 - so that's all good. We were too tired to wash the floors yesterday, so that needs to be done and 2 more walls to wash.

I'm thinking we may move to a hotel tonight, purely so we have somewhere to sit.

Oh and I was thinking our phone was scheduled to be disconnected today, thinking about that last night around 8 - so I look it up in my notebook and the phone is good until tomorrow it was the internet/tv that was today :o so I was on the phone at 9 calling support saying don't cut it off please!! As you can see, they didn't. :)

Hehehe, I remember that all-packedup apartment feeling with all the furniture gone . . . the day we left I had arranged for a charitable organization to pick up the bed and frame (it as just a boxspring and mattress), the vaccum and the remaining furniture before we got on our way - well they showed up at 7:30 - and we had only just left the bed! So, a quick unmake and dismember and haul down stairs of everything that was going . . . and then putting everything we were taking with us in the van - the cats in their carriers surrounded by house plants, a wedding dress, clothes and the case of valuables and personal documents I didn't want to risk loosing with the movers. Believe me, I don't envy you! (wicked grin!)

What is the weather forecast? When will this next phase of the 'great adventure' begin?

I remember leaving when the temperature was around 4 degrees C wearing jackets and having to turn on the a/c the second day to arrive in temperatures 92 degrees F! Thank heavens Joe had left the a/c on before he came up to get me and the house was lovely!

Oh, do you still have a little minivac to take with you? I used that in the hotel room to clean up the scattered litter from the cats. I also used those throw-away travelling all in one litter boxes - they were great! Got our pet deposit refunded no problem!

Good luck, Mrs. Trailmix, Mr. Nutmix and cat!
