Hi All,

I am preparing my documents using JS, and I am having difficulty printing the barcode per JS for the I-864 coversheet.

I follow the instructions per VJ Wiki, but when I click 'create barcode', the image of the barcode is missing and I just get a box with a red 'X' in it. Is there something I am missing? Did I skip a step. I tried it on my home and work computer but I keep getting the error. Please advise. Thanks in advance

Hmmm....I don't know what I'm doing wrong?

Ah nevermind, it just kept clicking create barcode and it finally popped up. It must be an issue with my Javascript.

Ok....I have another question. When I follow instructions of JS to adjust the barcode once its on the coverletter, it tells me to right click and adjust the picture size. I enter in the sizes JS tells me and I notice that it adjusts the size to a smaller more consolidated version of what was there before. The size is also smaller than the size of the 'original' barcode that was on the form.

Is this correct? Should the size shrink down like it did?

Also the barcode looks a bit blurry now.

I don't think it's right, it might be your computer for this too.

I resized it and it looked exactly like the original and it wasn't blurry.

I copied mine to the desk top and then to a word document to make the adjustments...worked better for me that way(I couldnt copy directly to word, I had to open as a picture file).

Readjust the scale back to 100% after you adjust the height and width per JS instruction and see if it matches the original. I copied it to the good ole Paint and crop it out before pasting it back into word.

Ok, so I used Photoshop...MUCH BETTER!!! I was able to get the exact dimensions. pixel size and crop it to the size that I needed, plus the resolution was saved and it looks almost exactly as the original barcode. I notice the JS barcode instructions don't really work for everyone cause it depends on how much you crop out for how much you will have to adjust your size.

So I got the AOS Fee Bill and I-864 barcodes ready...money order in hand and just waiting to send it all off.
